I think the idea you had, a brief audio clip of radio tuning static when the joy item is first turned on to be used by a colonist, is great.
I second this motion.
idk. You know that CoC (Call of Cthulhu) has a radio, and it's loud af. Could you do that same, but make it half the sound?
But what would be wrong with playing a brief radio tuning / static sound after a colonist first turns it on? From what I've read, if the sound effect is in WAV (instead of OGG), it will play only once (instead of loop).
