Heya Mirzipan, I was a big lover of this mod. The Combat Overhaul has broken it, however, and you will CTD if you place anything on the hotbar.

Is it possible we'll see an update, or the code released?

I will not be adding more slots for now, until the game supports skinning on equipment. But once it does, you can be sure that more slots are going to appear ;)
