for all the people crying about update... stop being so lazy this is a really easy change just go to 00_ascension_perk.txt and # out the prereq you don't like, literally takes 1min.
i.e.
#custom_tooltip = {

# NOT = { has_ascension_perk = ap_mind_over_matter }

there now you can take this perk even with mind over matter

so no update to both compatibility and ascension paths ?

Please update this mod, if you have the time and desire to do so. There are quite a few of us hoping for an update, more so than just us vocal few. There are no other options that do just this without (as you said) being stupidly overpowered. You made a logical version, and It would be wonderful to have an updated version to ensure it works properly. Cheers, m8. Thank you for your work, one way or another. I'm a modder in my spare time, so I know the amount of work it takes and the stress of having to spend just as much (if not more) time maintaining your work than actually playing the game you love. So, even if you choose not to update it - thank you for the hard work you have already done.

I doubt the author will update this mod. Shame, really, this is exactly the kind of thing I've been looking for.

Are you planning to maintain this mod through 1.8 and future versions? I've been running a similar ascension mod and have received some requests for essentially what your mod does. If this mod is planned to be updated, I can redirect such queries here; otherwise, would you mind if I took up maintenance of this mod?

I like this mod, but what about making it so that you can only take one Tier 2 perk but you still get to take the Tier 1 ascension perks? There was one mod that I have used, but it hasn't been updated in a while.

I agree, but one of the major reasons I made this mod was because although I disagree with Paradox's decision to make everything exclusive, I also like there being differences in empires and disliked how most other ascension-related mods tend to just sort of let you do everything , which is both poorly balanced and a bit boring from a gameplay perspective.

I get where your coming from with this, a cyborg still has a proper brain to use their psionic powers, infact I feel that should also be compatible for all levels of genetic engineering because they still have a brain where as once you become full machine all biological enhancements should be removed for more machine enhancements. Now that I think about it their should be unique cross over traits.
