I have very heavily modified Hyperion's Comet working with Blackhorse.
Just made it public, now that I have Hyperion credited with the original design.
I highly suggest not editing it any further, as it might implode.
It is now an 8 slot within the same frame. I have done the framework trick on it and amplified it. This has mainly been due to wanting a frame that I could charge into Sathaerz "Ferocity" mod with, and this frame fits the bill if also running scaling turrets mod.
The turret locks inside the front cowling are for single-slot lasers in order to create a "spinal laser mount". Fits 16 total lasers on the nose. Has fantastic maneuverability and speed, and is effectively a flying brick.
@Hyperion, I hope you don't mind. Love the Comet.
The only thing to really be aware of with this ship is it suffers heavily from a lack of Inertial Dampeners and various internals (such as the energy storage) are better off repurposed for other things, as well as it lacks the Crew Quarters to really sustain larger scaling.
I currently use a heavily modified Comet Class as my 'Mothership', with the sides trimmed down to make room for an external Cargo Module and two Fighter Hangars. At 1.5x scaling with Trinium plating and Xanion Internals, it's a real jack of all trades ship for Mid to Late Game.
