Brilliant, thank you for the quick fix. It's not quite perfect (the pedestrians go down a hole and then back up again when transitioning from the tram station walkway to the tramstation connection road), but I assume that's only due to whatever road mod I have installed. In any case the pedestrians find their way from train station to tram station very efficiently now :)
You have activated a "street-mod" that overwrites the default connector.
In the original is the connection without a pavement, with you is one available. Thus the height does not adjust.
But I have fixed this now.
Please rebuild the station for the change to take effect.
Unfortunately my pedestrians don't want to use the direct street connection from the train station to the tram station:

I'm using the beta version of the July 2017 patch, perhaps it's related.
