any way to add custom art for the tiles?
will we ever get more content? love this mod
Missing a lot of images...
I'm sorry, you're right VictorHuratado. if I click on too many tokens too quickly I'll get a custom token load error, but if I click on import it will load. I guess I was expecting instant gratification. Though now I'm wishing there were more tiles for Tree city set. lol
@Me, I'm Counting I get the invalid custom assets as well, but if you click on them again, they load properly. I was making a list of the "invalid" ones until i clicked on one of them by accident and the tile placed itself correctly.
Me, I'm Counting
@Lasrin Could you let me know which tiles and I'll check it out, as I'm unable to reproduce the issue locally.
Several of the tiles are invalid custom assets and do not spawn. Impressive idea!
Me, I'm Counting
The issue is now fixed, sorry to everyone for the downtime!

(Technical stuff: an update to cURL meant the SSL certificate used was no longer accepted by TtS, although it worked in browsers.)
Mzlt. Minimiez 2021
Sadly still not working anymore :(
Me, I'm Counting
@Calcifur_ Noted. Hopefully fixed soon.
doesnt work
Me, I'm Counting
@ZaneCane This is a problems that's started over the last few days that I haven't had time to properly diagnose. As soon as I have the time I'll get to it though.
So does this mod no longer work? Every time I try to load the table with the mod I get an unknown error for the battle atlas custom token image.
Hi!

I messaged you via your website too but thought I'd stop by here as well. Your Battle Atlas mod is absolutely superb. I had two issues using it but otherwise it's perfect!

1. When I drop the tiles in, they're all shaking - have you seen or heard of this before? If so, how do I fix it?

2. Arid, Cave Tunnels, Lava, Tree City, Woodland, Cave Mine, Cave River, and Hell Fire are all missing tiles via the error: WWW Image Error: Failed to Receive Data"

I hope that's specific enough for you to help! Also would love to help you collect other tile sets to add to this if possible.

Thanks so much! :steamhappy:

This is EXACTLY what i was looking for. Thank you for creating this.
Don't be conFUSED like I was. Do the FUSE and then scale up as needed.
Works very well when you fuse tiles FIRST. An awesome tool for throwing down random battle maps for "5 Leagues from the Border" type skirmish games.
Me, I'm Counting
Please see the "about" page linked in the mod description for more information on fusing maps into a single large image, quality settings, and general use
Me, I'm Counting
2-tile maps can fill the table. Remember to fuse your maps (and not build them out of individual tiles) and to change the resolution as needed.
Since two of the full art maps would just fit the table, if it spawned full size map blocks, it would be a gamer's dream. You could make so many 2 map combos it would be insane!
This is exactly what I've been looking for, thank you :D
yes my bad sorry. because it only saved 3 files locally i thought its maybe broken. but seems like the struff you spawn isnt saved locally at the begin with, but later when you spawn it
Jiggy007, I tested it; all seems to be working well. I spawned 5 of the tile sets and fused a set together. Everything ran smoothly.
this mnod has only 3 files to download. did something went wrong over the time?
Me, I'm Counting
Battle Atlas has been moved to a new server with more resources. This should fix the recent outtages caused by the increased number of users!
Awesome !!! Thanks for uploading this.
So cool!
Lunar Penguin  [
@Markimus: TTS does cache the images once they've been loaded in to the game as long as you have mod chaching turned on. Hosting the images on our website has a number of benefits including the ability for other players to see each other's maps. We view generating maps dynamically inside of TTS to be a useful, convenient and user friendly way for people to be able to make terrain for their DnD and other RPG campaigns. Those with Photoshop or Gimp know-how may prefer other methods for map creation, but Battle Atlas offers a quick and easy way to create, iterate upon and share attractive maps all without leaving TTS.
Also, I don't really see the point in using this. Surely it would be easier to create the map outside the game, then copy and paste the full image link on to the table? It would mean you could create maps while you're waiting for your players to create their characters etc.
Can you keep all the board images locked and hidden somewhere so they stay cached? When you change the board state it's really annoying to wait for the image to load.
Lunar Penguin  [
@Savage Sully: When you Fuse the tiles, they become one solid object. As such, as long as you are aware of the dinensions of your playing space, you can create maps that you can scale to fit any square grid pattern you might have.
Savage Sully 2017
Any tips for lining up the tiles with grid? Thankyou for you work on this!!! :steamhappy:
Tactical Shift 2017
incredible work! perfect for terrain generation not only for rpgs but also for wargames!
Wow, really ambitious and cool. Hope this one keeps going!
Zero 2017
Hello, will try that ASAP.

As to how I am using them, for now I'm basically "destroying them". I'm also pretty new to tabletop sim so there's a lot to "study". I will be running a DnD offline session/campaign soon so this will allow me to manage locales for combat and encounters, I don't plan to run online. I tried all your tools and if you're looking for feedback, here's my 2cts:

-ONE WORLD, not for me. At least not at this time. I found it overly complex the part of creating scenarios in the "mini-map", saving the "marks" and going back and forth. I found the tutorial simple enough but at the moment I was strugling to grasp the concept! Because I don't need such an in-depth tool at the moment,I didn't really dive into it.Will probably in the future.

-Bar Keep is very useful. I was planning on using it but for some reason some assets aren't compatible with the tool. I left you a report on the Bar Keep page.

-Skytools is very ingenius, had no issues with it even off table.
Zero 2017
(cont.)

- Battle Atlas, this is your best work yet. The hiDEF is most welcome, the author did an awesome job on each tile and I'm hoping you get more artists on-board. If you could bundle it with the skybox without the aditional need for tinkering it would make for a stronger tool overall. There's another "issue" I found: it's not compatible with "support tables", being that I can't use it without being laid at the main table for some reason. I like to keep my table "as cleen as possible" and resort to additional table support for extra units, maps, assets, etc.

Nothing i said above should remove merit on the awesome tools you've built. They have a purpose and they work. That's enough and way more than anyone should actually expect for non-paid work. Your mods deepen the level of use for the sim and are invaluable in providing much needed support for anybody who uses this for DM'ing.

If you ned a beta tester, let me know. Keep up the good work.
Zero, Once you have locked the token to your table, use the Gizzmo Tool (bottom left tool in TTS) to lower the token into the table a bit. This will set the object slightly below the 'fog' panels of SkyBox. I'd love to join a session to see how you've used these tools.
Zero 2017
Hello,

I think I have it all except for the "sinking" part. How do I sink the object? Thats probably akin to how layers work, in a way, but I'm at a loss here.
Zero, Once you place your Battle Atlas tiles, Use the Kicker button. Then, lock that Kicker to the table and 'Click' the center of that Kicker. This will generate a token of your map. Now, place & scale that token where you like on the table, lock it and 'sink' it down a little into the table. Now you can use the SkyBox 'fog' panels over the top of the Kicker generated token. The Kicker button will allow you to hide/show the map (that is under your 'fog' panels). Send me a message anytime and I'll jump into a session and we can step through it.
Zero 2017
Thank you for this!

Is it possible for the next update to allow the use of skybox with it? Currently the fog tiles are always bellow the tiles generated by the "battle atlas console".

Keep up the awesome work.
Two tiles have been added to the Woodland Tileset. Please update your BattleAtlas Mod to access these 2 new tiles.
I've been seeing some really nice maps being created. You can see what other's are building at this link: https://www.battleatlas.com/view-playermade-maps
Seteron, The plan is to let the TTS community create tilesets, we can then add those new sets to the BA Base for everyone to use. A few people have shown interest in this, we well post here when we know more.
Super helpful, do you think we'll have any full water tiles or some corner water-borders anytime soon?
Amazing module....
Great job
Fantastic piece of kit. Nice how it just works. Makes it simple to crank out maps for any occasion! The ability to easily switch between set maps and replace certain tiles is a godsend. My DnD campaigns will never be the same again!
This is an amazing mod!

Wow, this is great! I'm not biased at all!
