I have about 310 and I reinstalled the game a couple times, all mods worked up to 400 but as soon as I had one of your maps installed it wouldn't let me get any other mods. I don't think it's your maps, probably one of my mods just causing issues with your maps or something. But I'm pissed cause those maps look fucking amazing :(

It's technically not illegal because no profit is being made and it's not on the workshop.
I assure you, it is 100% safe. At least, the site I did was. I've used it multiple times to get the packs I was after.

I think it has a reason when you can't implement content from other Valve games in a workshop map. It has to have a reason why Valve doesn't allow that.

I completely understand and agree. If it wasn't against the workshop rules, I'd totally put the content in the addon itself, but that simply isn't going to happen.

I download the assets. I put them in the addons folder. It works as intended. No harm done.
Honestly it's no different than a mod. Nobody ever bitches when someone in L4D2 community uses models from brand new games for things like survivors. What's the difference? It's still someone elses work being ported to another game.

I have never heard anything from Valve saying it's a big deal to them. Probably because they dont care. But maybe, just maybe... they do know it, and they just understand that it does no harm. Like for real... you can't lose money on a game that's not purchased anymore.

I see no problem with downloading the assets from a third-party site and I don't see why anyone else would. It's legitamately absurd to pay $20 for what's essencially a content pack because all you want is the resources and not the game. By downloading the assets you're not even really stealing in my opinion. It's just grabbing what you need, not getting an entire game for free.

The only illegality would be with those who upload the game content, and I doubt Valve would spend the time to bring it to court. With that said, I won't be providing any links.
