This was a pretty fun extension to the game considering that pretty much all the popular mods need the dlc. However, I'm pretty sure there's a typo (or bug with the game maybe) with one of the passwords in the CTF mission: sundial is spelled sund14l in the txt file, but I had to use it as sund141 in the big password with all 4 chained with underscores I looked at the mod files, and there doesn't seem to be a typo, so not sure what's going on with that.

Hey pixel. Did you perhaps lose one of the previous battles before? You may have had one of your EXE files corrupted.
Go ahead and delete your SSHCrack.exe file and re-download a new one from the Backup server!

I really liked some of the details, such as having Naix as an enemy, the virus hidden as a pork cracker on defeat or the multiple ends (although I only did one) .

@Kyouma lmaooo I just remembered that, had me crying and yelling and looking for something to hit because I didn't know if it was the game's font fault or mine for being blind

So to everyone struggling with the Capture the Flag mission after browsing the file to see if I was mistyping and after reading a lot of the comments the mistake I was making and the one a lot seem to be making is the final password is sund_14l (lower case L is the second one not a 1)

No worries! I know it isn't your fault. You did try to help me the other time and we couldn't find the issue. The hint, could be a bit more refined tho.
I forgot the exact order, but the order I believe was ReadMe #103, #206, #097 and the hint could have been more like, R1_22_33_34 or something like that, where the first letter (or number) is the number (or name) of the servers.
Great extension tho. I'm trying to make one by myself and while I have the story, the overall .xml editing is long and can be quite confusing. My hat off to you sir.

Ok. Nvm. I sort of fixed it by myself. I didn't want to use this method but... for anyone who experience the same problem as I do, do this.
Warning. Spoiler included.

Go to: SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\365450\937939681\Missions
You will see a file called CaptureTheFlag.xml

Open it up. (I recommend using Notepad++)
At the top, you will see

<goal type="getstring" target=" p4tch_sund141_w1r3d_h4ndsh4k3" />

target="p4tch_sund141_w1r3d_h4ndsh4k3" is the one that we need to type in our reply email.

I've just changed this set of string to p4tch and it worked perfectly.
I have no idea why the original password did not work.
But this method will fix the issue for sure.

It's a shame that I had to go through this. It isn't the creator's fault either.

Yet, when I attach this to the email (the one that gives you information to start the mission), it keep says that I have not completed the mission. I am wondering what I have not done. I have found the last server and I have opened all .dec files. I really want to continue this extension but even after a complete format of my computer, this mission still is not working. Is it a different email address that I need to attach the password to?

I was really enjoying this extension until I reached the poorly-explained, over-complicated Capture the Flag mission and had to give up out of frustration. Still, it has some ambitious ideas and hacking into an opponent's computer before you get hacked yourself is great.

I just finished the expansion it was quite good ! At the last mission to either give unknown guy or Cyber. I first thought the unknown as he "helped" me. I was looking around and find a txt that was decryption code. Cool hiding spots!

Overall I quite enjoyed it!

Hi there @Inadversary. Yep, it sounds like one of the opponent hacker's got to your EXE files. Don't worry though, just go into your files and delete your Webserverworm.exe file, then go ahead and download a new copy from your backup server!! Hope that helps!!

I have a problem with the command WebServerworm. Every time I try to use it. All it does is popup a menu on the side saying "error" and it doesn't go away until I crash.

Hey! I'm really glad such a great extension exists (I wanted to cry because all the good ones require Labyrinths and I'm young, broke, child. Time to blackmail my dad.) Anyways, I've reached the Capture the Flag thingy, and I'm trying to decypher the secret_stash.dec I got from #097, but all the passwords are wrong! (cookie, sund141, and another one I forgot.) I'm pretty sure that it should be sund141 but no matter what I do, it doesn't work. Help? Again, this is an amazing extension, great job man!

Sounds like a hackathon, or whatever the hacking community calls them. I'll try it out. Hopefully it doesn't require the DLC, which I don't have. I think a multiplayer implimentation would be really cool!

This extension is great, but you should add something if we kill forkbomb before it crashes computer.

I reinstalled it, but it's still some sort of buggy. For example no buttons for login into gmail and double "Gmail" head text

On XNA version of hacknet. Gmail doesn't work. It's just closes for some reason.

Okay, I just double checked the Workshop files with my files, that really is the solution. Very very strange issue indeed. I'm really sorry that it has meant you can't continue. At least you haven't missed out on too much more ;) Also really glad to hear you're enjoying it! I'd definitely love to make one too, but I wanna make sure I do it right, so it's probably not gonna happen for a little while sadly :( But it will ;)

Unfortunately that is the exact code I've found. I've done Steam cache check before and nothing popped up. I am thinking of just restarting the game. But I am enjoying your extension. And I'd love to see Hacker Wars 2.

Okay, sorry to hear you're having issues. I've heard a lot of people having issues with that mission so don't worry, you're not alone. Looking at my files I have the exact code here, with no other missions goals so it should automatically complete. Haha yeah. I haven't played HN for some time and I thought porthack was visible in the bin folder! But I am stuck in somewhere else now. I got the strings, a_b_c_d where a b c d are the "passwords", but whenever I try to replay back the string it says the mission isn't finished. It won't allow me to reply. I know I got the right words.

Oh no, Porthack is built in you should be okay without the exe to use that command ;) But glad to hear you managed to solve the issue!! Really hope you enjoyed the extension albeit rather confusing towards the end... ;)

Ok. I'm confused. I am stuck from the beginning. No ID or PW to login to the Unknown's Depository nor is there a way to login to my own backup server. I found a program called Forkbomb though. Not sure why it is there because it just crashes my ingame computer.

Having an issue. When I first start, I scan and find my backup server, but can't find any other servers anywhere via scans, email, etc. No way to progress whatsoever. I've played the base game, Labyrinths and 5 mods so am very comfortable finding every possible tiny clue, but I see nothing so this must be a bug (or I'm really missing something obvious?).

This extension is awesome, but there seems to be a problem where the opponent's invasion happens before the countdown has finished, so basically for 5 seconds I can't defend myself (the countdown clears your input every time), while the opponents are hacking me.

I finished the both ending, I really liked it !

Hmm, okay, this sounds like an odd issue to say the least. I would try recovering your data first and completing that, then you should be able to take on the contract again. Now that you've deleted everything from Curs3, try uploading something random to his bin or sys folder and then deleting that again... That should get the mission to complete itself... might have just glitched out, or you might have JUST ran out of time. But no worries. Hope that solves the problem for you man!
