@ЧИНАФОН The models first need to be extracted from the original game (I used a third party program called umodel). Those extracted player models are then rigged to Alien Swarm's skeleton and the new player models are recompiled in to Alien Swarm. Textures are just replaced.

As for getting weapons from Republic Commando in to Alien Swarm, the process would be pretty similar if you just wanted the weapon models alone. If you wanted the Star Wars weapons to behave like actual blasters though, that would be a lot more work.
