Hello, this mod has started returning errors on load. I guess one of the hotfixes detected it. The mod is still working, so don't freak out if you see red text on load. Would love a 1.1 fix.

If you want to use this mod in a non-steam version, download this mod, and then search for it in the workshop folder on the Steam directory. You must search ID's, for example search 933010556 in the workshop folder for this mod.

@Azed: Not everyone uses steam for RimWorld. The game was sold DRM free directly from Ludeon as well as from steam.

@Mittsies Hey! Just curious if you knew how to do the exact same thing for the research sound - It sounds like a bubbling noise, it's awful.. Is this something you'd perhaps be able to make at all? Drives me mental :(

The mod I didn't know I needed until I installed it.
My game felt sooooooo quiet and peaceful once installed. It almost felt empty for a while ! (I have like 30 colonists and 30 dogs hauling everywhere...)

Thanks a lot, the door sounds drove me crazy in b19, especially in high game speed (have they changed them? Never noticed it in b18 so intense..).
Last but not least it was a pure woossssssh festival......
Much better now, finally i can hear the ambient sounds again, animals and more.

Any link to a 0.18 version? I'm playing an awesome game with Combat Extended / Westernization and I would have liked to remove these semi-annoying sounds.

well, for some people they don't like the noise of the doors opening and closing, which, when such as myself, I have a huge base, and a lot of pawns runnin' 'round, it is quite annoying. to each their own. ;o)

For anyone who can't get this to work here's how to do it yourself - RimWorld > Mods > Core > Defs > SoundDefs > World_Oneshots_Doors open this with notepad and edit the <volumeRange> sections to the levels you want and save it.

pipmimi, try putting it at the bottom of your mod list. This mod only mutes vanilla doors so if you have any kind of mod that adds additional doors those will still have sounds.

I've tried downloading this twice since the update was put up and I'm still getting door sound. I don't have any other mods running so its not a conflict issuse. Any help would be appreciated as I can't live without this mod, cheers

It's because whoever writes the code for this game arbitrarily changes variables names every single update, for apparently no reason other than to make mods stop working. :P

It's fixed now. enjoy.

Yes I added it to a game in progress and the door sounds are still there. One woukdn't think it requires a new game but perhaps???

Added it and nothing happened, if anything the doors are louder now. I couldn't find a config to activate it in options anywhere, am I missing something?
