This is why I did a guide on making a backup of your SFM assets, this way you will never lose them. I now have tons of models that are no longer available on the workshop, for one reason or another, because I periodically made backups of my assets.
One key thing that any serious SFM user NEEDS to learn is how the files are organized, so that they can then place them into a non-workshop folder. This will keep them from being erased when they are removed from the workshop.
Stuff gets removed from the workshop all of the time, usually either because of some copyright issue, or the uploader needed more space for something else.
Contrary to popular belief, there IS a limit on how much that you can upload to the workshop...

Most of the model manipulation that I've learned thus far, I've learned from him, others have helped as well, but I've got most of my guidance from Jack.
I find Blender a bit intimidating as well, it's a far cry from the old CAD programs that I began learning this kind of stuff on years ago. (I'm 50, btw, so not too far behind Jack). lol
