Update :(

@In_The_Motion: "This mod can work fine with any base game version since v1.5.* regardless of which version the game tells you does it support."

I took the above text from the description, which you should have read.

Maybe do it for planet takeovers instead? Just another idea.
ok, thanks

No, it's impossible. There is not an 'on_action' like 'on_army_destroyed'.
I love this concept :)
The same with battles on planet is possible ?
Dazz Aephiex  [
Yes, it's given. Escorts are treated as DD, Battlecruisers are treated as BB, and Titans are treated as BB*2.

The destruction of the ships of the fallen empires is given unity?
Lady Crimson (RIP) 2017
Nah, I was just implying that in my militarist runs I usually build up a fleet, and then storm every a.i. around me in the first 20 years at least.

Tributary is a s..tty op subject type. Resource drain, opinion ++, cheap war demand. Make tributary is the most powerful war demand of all.
Lady Crimson (RIP) 2017
It's not rare if you go on a tributary run ;) but yeah that is fair.. since it is often one time rather than continous.
Lady Crimson (RIP) 2017
right.. but militarist is already good on its own like the others (infact some of the better boosts are militarists besides their population being rather hard to make happy).. pascifist is the only one that is 'incredibly good' but also has incredible disadvantages with war (though in my eyes it can be curbed to be much better).... moving to make militarist just as good as pascifist.. when pascifist has such disadvantages isn't balance. Is this mod great and interesting.. yeah.. but it's not a balancing mod.
Dazz Aephiex  [
Everyone who is not a pacifist can conquere as well as militarist. so militarist still lakes an advantage.
Lady Crimson (RIP) 2017
If you were talking about balance.. you don't want it comparable to pascifism.. because pascifists can't declare war if they're fanatic, or liberation only.. so those are some rather large limitations whereas militarists only have boosts.. I think it's still a great concept and certainly one for fanatic purifers.. they really need it.

Is NSC support planned?
Dazz Aephiex  [
1. No. They are scaled at your unity income, while 2 and 20 is min and max.
2. I have not considered yet.
3. That's impossible to judge single ship military power. That's also impossible to judge single ship size, but can only judge hull type.
4. Fleet battle is rare so it should give many many unity to make the effect clear to see.
(split for comment length limit)

4) I haven't played a Pacifist civ yet, so maybe their Unity bonuses are comparable to what this mod gives, but my gut feel on those numbers is that they're way high. In my current game, I just finished my first war and, in the final battle, I killed 2 cruisers, 20ish destroyers, and 35 corvettes; assuming middle-of-the-range awards for all ships, that adds up to 913 Unity for the battle, compared to a normal monthly income of 71 Unity.
A few thoughts:

1) Are the ranges random (destroy two identical corvettes; one gives 2 Unity, the other gives 20) or based on tech advancement (early-game corvettes give 2 Unity each, endgame corvettes give 20 each)?

2) Shouldn't the Unity gain be larger for Fanatic Militarists than for normal Militarists?

3) Have you considered scaling based on fleet strength ratings instead of hull type? That would automatically account for tech development, new ship classes, etc. and would avoid having to specifically code for every potential type of target. (Looking at the list of awards in the description, it looks like starbases, mining stations, civilian craft, space monsters, etc. don't count for anything.)

Sorry, a corvette can gain min 2 max 20, and so on.
Dazz Aephiex  [
Yes, it does. A corvette can gain min 1 max 10 unity, and a battleship can gain min 8 max 80 unity.
Does the unity scale to ship size?
