Mod no longer works

Iron drills don't work. AT ALL.

Hi! Love the mod but I've got a bit of a problem. I downloaded another mod that requires underground iron (Like the vanilla stone mine). My problem is that the prospecting screen shows 0% Iron and 0% copper. Now looking through the entirety of the comment section, your mod is the one that disabled that right?

Iron dont work on desert

All drills do not work with this mod.

Installed this and suddenly there is no iron or copper anywhere in the kenshi world, just nodes, but drills dont work anymore.

This mod seems does not compatible to "AnimationOverhaul" mod (1630760930), that mod override the functionality of the vanilla ore drill and the "world resource minging" is still iron.

Farms placed in biomes like Berserker Country says it has 100% fertility but when placed down it has 0% yield. Disabled all other mods to no avail.

Otalatita: Well... the overhaul is actually a ton of mods all put together lol.
To figure it out in just a few minutes, save the game under a new name, disable other mod(s), import the newly saved game and see if it works with no risk of messing anything up on your other save.

I only have Genesis active, I enabled this because there is not copper in Gut, looks like it is only copper

Otalatita: Is it only in Gut that you can't build the machinery & do you have any other mods active?

It isn't working for me with copper, I'm at gut and it dosn't let me build copper extractor

I can confirm that the mods that change the town range, are not compatible or not completely

Reigdaer: It is working for other people, so I would guess that you might have another mod that's affecting this one in some way. Especially since you don't need iron, or any other resource, to be available in any specific area to place any kind of building that requires them.

Dragamore: Yeah, sorry man. Kenshi's modding tools aren't really all that robust and it's pretty hard to get mods that operate in the same category to work together. Even that 'extended animation' mod or whatever the name of it is doesn't work with this, no clue why.
If it becomes enough of a drag, you could always open up that mod and edit it to work the same as this mod. I wouldn't mind helping you do that - it wouldn't take more than a few minutes.

Thanks for the reply I see now it works with the hybrid mines in the game but not the Gen mod hybrid mines I tried changing the load order and that didn't work so I'll just have to live with it. Thanks again

Dragamore: Are you referring to the Hybrid Mines that are in the game or a mod?
If a mod, the only thing you can really do is try setting the load order with the mod at a higher priority as this mod, then if that doesn't work, try it the other way.

Padawhat: Oof, that sucks... I don't have this game installed at the moment, though I plan to reinstall it very soon - like, hopefully, tonight 'soon.' One thing I do ask of you though is that can you please confirm that you've used this mod with all other mods deactivated? Mods are very strange in Kenshi and things you wouldn't think would break something else, very much do. If you look several posts down, you'll see someone that was using an animation mod that somehow broke this, even though they didn't touch the same properties... anyways - I'll most likely be able to check it Sunday or Monday (hopefully).

This mod breaks the prospecting menu. Iron and copper nodes do not show up when prospecting with this mod enabled. This makes no sense as your mod doesn't have anything to do with the nodes themselves or even the prospect menu. Iron nodes are fairly easy to find and with this mod you don't need them when you have got a iron drill set up, copper nodes on the other hand are hard to find and you always need one because there is no copper drill in the game. I am at a impasse, do I install a mod that adds a copper drill but not have this mod installed/enabled due to mod conflict or spend possible hours trying to find a copper node. I hope somebody can tell me what causes the prospecting menu to break or tell me a copper drill mod that's compatible with this mod.

NVM, found the culprit. Animation Overhaul is meant to overhaul animations but for some reason there's an entry in there for the 'Ore drill' functionality, and lo and behold, it has the world resource set to iron. What confuses me though is that it's been above my mod with all the rolled changes into it, so surely my mod would have overwritten it and set it to none.

Oh well. Mystery solved.

I'm not sure how well this will apply, but I rolled a lot of smaller mods into my own local sort of 'master' mod. At some point, I loaded this one up and realised how you'd done it, and sort of rolled the changes into my own mod. I'm also finding that iron mines and drills now require the iron resource. I've double and triple checked to try and find where the error is; Mods I suspected as culprits I've loaded and seen that they do not edit the same things. I have one mod that turns all the maxslope numbers to 9999, but disabling that mod doesn't change anything. Opening random other mods that I suspect have yielded nothing.

Even slapping my mod at the bottom of the loadorder where it should override anything above doesn't work. Which is confusing. All the mining/resource related buildings have been set to WORLD_RESOURCE: NONE, but the ore drills seem to disregard it somehow?

I'll try reinstalling the mod

Are you guys downloading and activating other mods on top of this one?
Anything that loads after this mod that has any effects on the economic/resource buildings will overwrite this mod.

Iron mine is back to needing the ground resource...

OPG, I'm pretty sure it is Copper Drills, I'm dabbling in modding, and I notice in that mod, the iron drills have 0 info, while there is data in the copper drills. Not sure how to fix, testing removing the iron drill 1 from his mod and testing, will update if I find anything useful.

This mod used to work fine for me... no longer does... IDK what possible mods could be conflicting..

amythest93: When you click on Kenshi, you'll get the pop-up 'launch window.'
That window should have three tabs, you'll see them below the Kenshi logo called "Video Settings, Mods, Changelog"
Click on the Mods tab
There you will see the list of all of the mods you have downloaded/subscribe to.

The bad: It's one of the other mods that you're subscribed to that is messing up this mod.

If you guys send me your mod lists, I can at least try and help you two figure out what mod is messing it up - but other than that, there's, unfortunately, nothing I can do to fix your problems :/

Amythest93 & LordOfNothi: There haven't been any recent patches to the game so the most likely cause of your guys' issues is another mod interfering with this one. If you could, try and run this mod by itself, maybe even with a new game, to make absolutely sure it is, in fact, this mod that is the problem - even some of the animation mods change some resource building's values, so it really could be any mod that is messing it up.
I'll check it as soon as possible, which should be in just a few hours at the earliest (~10pm EST)
If you don't want to troubleshoot it yourselves, you could try just giving this mod top priority and see if that works, however, that hasn't worked with some other mods in the past.
Also, if you guys could give me a list of all the mods you use, that would definitely speed things up on my end.

The mod doesn't work on the iron drill, since seemingly you deleted all the underground iron and copper I can't use an iron drill because it's 0% iron everywhere. So I'm definitely not gonna use this mod until it's fixed, cause FUCK mining above ground nodes. I don't wanna be sounding mean in this though, just telling you that there's something to fix

I seem to be having trouble with this mod, most of the crops are not working and still require their biome requirements. the only ones that seem to work for your mod are cactus, hemp, and wheat. all others are unaffected
