Exactly that. We need some way for messages to be kept in the chat box whenever it's reopened. Opening console to read missed messages is cancer.

Now we just need a way to display the chatmessages again when the chat is opened (because searching for an entry in the console which was made just before a new map is loaded is cruel)

To display the chat longer use "hud_saytext_time 12" in console, put any number for how many seconds you want it to be displayed. 12 seconds is default.

It is possible to create a mode for a chat to be displayed longer.
