That's fine, losing or winning doesn't matter. Only the kills from your elites are what's important.
If you want an easier time, try the Butcher map with only casual AIs.
They are similar but its up to you, try em both see which one you like.
This one is more of comp stomp I guess.
The Butcher map is more just spawn your elites and kill orc boyz (the AI has blockers to prevent them from building buildings on their side.)
Click on Multiplayer, Custom Online, add 3 AIs, crush and slaughter waves and waves of ennemies with elites. Profit.
As it has been said, today's patch removes xp and skull from workshop maps. You can still comp stomp on the official maps however.
No info on this in their patch note.
What do you need to make Maps? Id like to try myself...
You must play a Multiplayer, Custom Online. If you play custom offline you won't earn xp.
Its exactly the same online/offline except you don't get any xp for offline custom
Made another map with the same idea. It is by far better for Melee elites and just general Elite farming (if you really don't want to bother playing).

Totally reccomend this for leveling ranged Elites, and it's a blast watching Orkz get pasted by giant robots.
This did help me get my Raned Wraithknight to level 8 quick though...
