I agree with medium - hard. I'm not good at that kind of maps and they are not my favourite. Even though I saw the basic idea ( bringing the regular cube to the start and executing a sacrifice halfway through ) it was still a tough challenge. Took me half an hour of cursing, then closing the game and trying it for another 15 minutes on another day before I finally made it ;-P

Very nice challenge. I didn't solve it the intended way. My solution involved tossing a cube . Still happy I reached the exit.

Great map as always. I tried cheating the last move as @Steve1965 did before seeing it was a double respawn (I think?) move that was required. Thumbs up. (Thought it would be more difficult as I've played a map like this in the past and it took a bit of thinking, but I was surprised at how quickly I solved it -- I'd say medium level)

Hey! Ever since I played this map I've been wanting to make a map with a similar design, and I finally made one - I credited this map in the description as a source of inspiration :)

Well, I wouldn't consider this map a puzzle, since there is always only one way to go to until you reach the exit with both cubes. The other map I thought was too difficult was good! I just couldn't force myself trying to solve the third part after solving two already quite challenging maps.

@€in€r vØn vi€l€n Not sure what you're after, to be honest. You found this too easy and it wasn't fun, you found Synthesis too hard and it wasn't fun. Maybe don't be so dismissive of maps just because they're not perfectly tailored to your personal requirements?

@| \_/ () Thanks! Well, that does tend to happen sometimes. Coming back to a puzzle after a break is a common solving technique. Glad you liked it!

I played this map when it came out, I couldn't solve it then, so I left it for another day until now. Now I gave it to my brother and he solved it for under 10 minutes. I feel ashamed :(

That means the puzzle is pretty clever though. Thumbs up!

This is the sickest puzzle I've seen in a long time. I love the design and how well it works! And regarding the small fuss about sacrificing cubes in the comments, I think I required two :)

Seven cube sacrifices? I didn't throw any cubes, but I think I only needed two sacrifices. Three at most. And none of them were the companion cube.

Oh I agree - I just cheated the last move and later relized I didnt need to. I replayed it and realized I just had to do one more respawn instead. And with this type of puzzle there is no easy for for you (the designer) to make it cheat proof. Hey you could coat the floors with blue jel. That would prevent cube tossing. JK.

@Steve1965 Cube throwing is obviously an exploit in this puzzle, due to the nature of its design. People who choose to cheat the puzzle can do so at their own expense. People who choose to do the puzzle properly without breaking the rules will have much more fun :)

Okay I got to the end and i cheated. I tossed the last cube past the last fizzler while standing on the button. That cant be the proper solution becuase if that were allowed you could just toss the cubes past all the fizzlers and do the puzzle without much effort.[/spolier]

Had me scratching my head for a bit. Figuring out the final moves and then working backwards from there helped, but what really surprised me was how many times I had to fizzle the regular cube

Great map. Too difficult for me to work out logically in my head - and I didn't feel like drawing its state diagram and analysing it - so I just went through loads of moves until I got to the end, but no idea how I got there, so looking at the walkthrough afterwards didn’t help either XD

Nice map, Demon! I really like these logical puzzles!
Also, I didn't ever have to recall the companion cube, which is quite fitting for the cube itself.

WOW. what a puzzle. :steamhappy:hats-off. took me time to figureout, and when came to last moves, biggest mistake i realise came there with wrong cube. how dumb i m. after that everything is clear. amazing puzzle. Favorite.

@jandlml Thanks! No worries, it's definitely a hard map, took me a while to figure out the solution myself when I was building it :P Not sure who else has made a similar map, but a corridor full of fizzlers is a pretty generic design so I wouldn't be surprised if it's been done before.
