It's not compatible with Tools+ because both mods modify the Blacksmith file. If Tools+ is higher in mod-load-order, then Charburner just makes charcoal for homes or trade. If Charburner is higher then Tools+ is mostly disabled except for locking the Blacksmith worker in a loop of trying to grab charcoal but being unable to put it inside the Blacksmith to make vanilla Steel Tools.
If you really want wooden, stone, or carbon-steel tools from Tools+, then Charburner can be lower in the load order and provide an additional home fuel and trading material.
If you're happy enough with vanilla Steel Tools, then Charburner by itself works very nicely to avoid coal mines or coal trading.
Charburner is compatible with Specialized Stockpiles: charcoal is only sent to Coal Stockpiles.
And... I see that this thread is pretty inactive... Oh well, I hope somebody can point me in the right direction.
no one picks it up so my smith cant use it and once the four are done my burnner goes to idle or helps labor as needed but no one uses the charcoal also making me unable to make steel tools.
any ideas what im doing wrong?
Modloadorder to top will not solved the Problem with a older Savegame
Also, this already conflicts with mods that change the blacksmith's "recipies", so you might as well just make a new Steel Tool recipe.
I want to stay with firewood as raw material because it needs small pieces of wood. To use whole logs would not be realistic. A building process is actually not necessary because it's just stacking firewood by the charcoal burner. But some initial firewood can be included to avoid this instant placing. I had it in an older version and it was a bit confusing. I will look at it again.
To "uninstall" a mod cancel your sub here on steam or just disable it in your mod list.
Is there any way you can just make this generate standard coal instead of charcoal? That'd work a lot better, I feel, also make sure to let the blacksmith use regular coal again.
