For some reason, this doesn't show up in the Environments menu.:steamsad: I knew I subbed it, but never saw it in there. Then I came back to my subbed items here in the Workshop and still saw it subbed. Tried unsubbing/resubbing, but still not there in the menu. Hmmm...

Well for now i found out how to disable SteamVR Home, so that i can enjoy the Rancor once again. A bigger environment maybe including the caves where the R. comes from, or, at max, jabbas Palace above it sounds pretty awesome, also like lots of work. Tho being able to move away from an animated Rancor and/or even being able to trigger the door snapping his neck seems like tons of fun, as well with being able to claim having the best VR mod. Wish I could be of help, but as I said, I'm a consumer, not a maker xD

hmmmm... On a cursory glance it looks a little more complex than that as it wasn't a destination to begin with. However the good news is I have a game engine to play with now :),

I wonder if this environment will now be too small, and since I have a fully game rigged and weighted Rancor can he be animated...

this is truly your best work for SteamVR as I see it. However, I cant get around having a hopefully small request for you. Since the SteamVRHome is out, Im unable to get your environments loaded. Basically bc SteamVR Home by now seems to only support otimized content. So basically is there a chance you could try to implement this for SteamVR Home? found a How-to, didnt read through yet since im not much of a modder... https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SteamVR/Environments/Converting_Destinations

So, the Jedi temple tower with traffic wouldn't be possible, or at least I don't have the knowledge to make it happen in steamVR (the documentation is non existant), not to mention the environment budget. SteamVR just isn't made for that, and really you wouldn't want it to be as it would really increase loading times.

I'm pretty limited on what I can do with steamVR, think of steamVR like your windows desktop, it's just meant as a backdrop to launch applications from. There is no support for animation, lighting, or sound, or custom shaders (it’s a little better than a ps2 game in terms of tech). My vertex budget for modelling is around 65,000 total verts which is less of a vertex budget then two characters from uncharted 4. The texture size can be quite large though, so I can get some more detail in. I prototype my environments in unreal 4 to help with scale and layout, and man they look so much better (mostly because of the shading and lighting support).

I usually just use a dark one, one of the defaults. I'm not sure if I'm going to put the door in back there or not, I'll deal with that area though, and the skylight.

You can see some background in places. Like the bared window. Do you have a suggested background Image that works with this?
