@Pdguru : The person magnet can be found in the category: "Free object tools" or is the category sub-symbol with the wrench. There you will see the quadrilateral preview image, which can be seen in the top right corner of the photo :-)

In which selection menu is the stone?

@svartman : In fact, no stones disappear, they are at most overbuilt or buried by construction projects. The game mechanics only supports a limited number of stones. The number is related to the total number of inhabitants that can be produced on the map. There is a given growth on the map, which you can not change with the stones. One only creates cheaper or shorter ways, which are then preferred by the persons / game mechanics.
For easier recovery of the stones you can also choose the colorful variant.
TPF has changed the collision data extremely, which is why some objects also manage to build on the stones. To prevent this, you can build your own collision objects in the vicinity of the stones.
Tip: People like to like "business stones". So you should not put so many dwelling stones, as they move people from the cities. Therefore often times a business stone set. Industriesteine ​​are very hesitantly accepted or need a little more time :-)

@JoeFried I am using clear map. There are roads and vehicles and of course stones. Probably a map supports limited count stones?

@svartman : No - the stones will still be there. Presumably, the landscapes in the area were raised. When roads or buildings are built with collision, the landscape heights change. Even if you work with the tool for landscaping, you can bury the stones from provided. Since you should take care while building something on it :)

@phonebook : People live in stone, others work in a "work stone" or others go shopping in a stone. Depending on the definition of the stone. If you click on a person who comes from a stone or enters into one, then you can take this information. Instead of a city name, a "number" will appear; similar to a postal code.

Just put the stone near or on the street. The program then automatically detects the connection :-)

Heyho, mir wurde erzählt, dass seit dem letzten Patch die Steine auch abreißbar sind.
Kannst du den Hinweis dann auch aus der Beschreibung entfernen, da er ja nicht mehr ganz aktuell ist? ^^

Hello, JoeFried! Thank you for this great mod, it gives many posibilities in game!
I created a similar mod - Cargo Magnet. I used your mod like tutorial and example for create my own code, however most of the code is different. So, will it be OK to upload my CM to Steam with mention of your mod, or you're absolutely against this?

@MajorOwnige : A "goods cube" could also be developed by a modder. But what extended sense should he have? If you do not want goods, you simply can not deliver anything to the city. If you want bigger city growth, you change the values of "base_config.lua". There one increases the value "game.config.townGrowthFactor" and already the city explodes. :-)

@JoeFried just wondering but have you considered if something similar like a 'supply cube' which meets the goods supply demands of a city without a transport chain at all? I know it sounds odd in a Transport game. But I just want to focus on passenger rail and trams. Trucks supplying areas so they will grow faster is a real distraction.

@COchettO : Yes - You have correctly noticed. The July patch has improved the person magnet. My warnings remain, however, because old savegames are still built with old person magnet.

Basically, I remain cautious with:
Roads on which the person's magnet is built! It is possible that an AI can no longer find its way.

Hello JoeFried.

I really enjoy your mod but I was a little annoyed that I couldn't modify or delete an existing stone without risk.

I've been doing some heavy testing lately and I find that I can do all of that without any problem actually. I've tried it on both new and existing games. On heavily modded saves or not. And I can demolish stones, change their types, their size... Basically anything works just fine for me.

Is it possible the latest july patch from the game corrected those issue ?

Of course I can't directly demolish a stone hidden under another asset, but I simply demolish the first asset, then the stone and put the other asset back (or simply put it on the pavement just nearby the entrance) and it still works like a charm.

Do you know a special setup that would break the game while destroying ? I haven't tested the renaming though ....

@maxi11111 : The magnet works effectively in a circle of 8 houses. If you build this near the road connection, then this is correct :-)

@maxi11111 : Den Personenmagneten findet man in der Kategorie: "Freiplatzierbare Objekte - tools" bzw. ist das Kategorieuntersymbol mit dem Schraubenschlüssel. Dort siehst Du dann das viereckige Vorschaubild, dass oben rechts im Foto zu sehen ist :-)

This is a fantastic idea. Outside of the RCI chain, i think this would be useful for tourism simulation. Seems like it still needs some work.

And then:
.. 2. Choose a person from the stone; a window will appear.
.... 3. Select the "Details" section and select the number of the city / building.
...... 4. A new "rename" window will appear.
........ 5. Select "Upgrade"; a new window will appear.
.......... 6. Select ONLY the new "number of persons" and confirm with "Apply".
............ 7. Close all windows!
