hi sir, how do u translate the game? i've ever done manually by copyNpaste the english language txt and edit, but it took ages, any easy way to do this?

Seattle PD no longer uses 10 codes FWIW

Im a police officer for 2 different departments...10 codes are still widely used.. by every single department that I have ever known of in my entire life... and they always will be.. no one is getting away from them... some 10 codes are unversial.. meaning some of them are the same wether you are in IL or CA., or where ever.

Only crappy thing, is 10 codes change within counties. At least in California.

Example: 10-10 for us is Out of Service/ Subject to call.

@Moshei Here's the deal, when you forsake organization, and to a degree, categorization, then you are basically setting yourself up to fail. The point of the 10 system is to more easily relay information. By not relying on such a system (any system, not just the 10 one) you are thus making it harder for the dispatcher and others to determine what is going on, because the person has to explain things more - spending more time on their CB and less time helping victoms, or monitoring the area. This is one of the reasons, out of many, that this sytem was created.

The main problem with the 10 code is that they are heavly localiced. In Europe, most police force dont even bother to catagorice the radio calls because most if not every single call are diffrent.

My agency still uses ten codes, in fact all the States surrounding us still use it across the their spectrum. There's a national standard to remove ten codes when mutliple agencies are involved in a major incident, but there is no impending trend removing the practice from daily work.

The national standard is to get away from 10-codes and go to a more common language. 10-codes are dated, and are not easily understood.

10 codes are used in some areas still. Although as was said before it really is region specific. 10-13 for the NYPD is Officer in need of assistance. 10-2 is return to command, and there are others. It's a nice touch though.

The problem with 10 codes, is they are region-specific. A handful are fairly standard, but the majority are not. Cool idea though.
