i think it only works in darkrp game mode

Can i make the addon like, say i have a police cadet, I set his rank through this addon, but instead of changing his job i can promote him to corporal, I don't want players to have a set amount of time until they get a promo i want to give them a promo when I'm ready. Is this possible, if so can u develop the code or something?
