Guys, those of you who are waiting for updates that never come - you can just make an update to 00_policies.txt file in the game. See the "purge = " string there and add two ethics to "valid" clause:
has_ethic = ethic_authoritarian
has_ethic = ethic_fanatic_authoritarian

not from what I can tell. doesn't have the option for real purging, displacement only as an authoritarian race.

This mod still works in 2.2.1. Only needs the version number updated so it won't give you a red X in the mod manager.

Yeah, while I'm a fan of the rights system and the "Caste System" slavery setting authoritarians get is basically an automatic form of the original slavery system, something precious and beautiful was lost when the ability to execute billions of our own subjects for their political views went away. It made sense before, we could ruthlessly quash malcontents-- but now purging is just for the space racists alone.

While it's a shame this mod only extends the current vanilla purge mechanic to authoritarians, that's still better than nothing.

Change the freaking purge system then! Its just stupid that I want to exterminate an entire species, I just want to exterminate traitors of the Empire, I dont care if they look like a human, an elf or a... kind of plant? This, along with the new slavery system, made me come back almost instantly to 1.4 while screaming "WHAT THE ♥♥♥♥ WERE YOU THINKING!!!"

Bummer, cuz I really don't like the new purging system.

@Azerik the Metal Eater Sadly you cannot at least not in this mod, this is because doing so would eliminate your empire because of the changes to the purging system.

Can you purge your primary species as well?
