As I have found out in the interim, the error is not in this map, but regardless, Sidai has made a map of this island, actually. It is a great map. It has a little less land to build on, but I'd go for it. Adding it to the top of this page and marking this map as broken... his is much better :D.

@Detail, I built on the other version of this map and had the same exact problem. Didn't realize it until I was 20hrs in. No ships. Decided to check this version of map to see if it had same problem. Guess it does. :(

Hi. Let's see... .so it's either got to be a mod you're using that is affecting vehicle AI, or you just have to wait a long time after building a train station and harbor for those vehicles to start showing up. It can take a long time until demand is built up and vehicles start arriving (at a very slow rate)

Yup, sure! My guess is that maybe you will see a brief drop in the economy shortly, while the goods and services in transit go back to the origin, find the path via air and shipping, and then you'll have more traffic by air and sea :)

I have heard that as well, I was just wondering if it was possible to delete the highway connections after getting the port and airport

Actually you can run an island city successfully with only a port and airport... so I have heard. all people must come in by ship and plane, but it works

Hi joschaC2, yes, without highway connectors you will still get what you need like people via the airport and passenger harbor -they handle only people-, and goods trade via a cargo harbor.. but first you have to save up to buy them, and then you will be getting *all* your people and goods via only airport and sea connections, rather than by als four different normal game connections (rail, highway, ship, airport). This means the game will load up all the traffic to only those connections you have. You can mitigate this if you have some mad skills at traffic flow, but for most that can lead to conga lines of ships way out to sea and flocks of airplanes all squished together, even more than usual. Then I'd have complaints pages long on a map :D So, that's why I build in things that aim to make sure everybody has a better game play experience, no matter what experience level you have or the way you play

you know you don.t need a highway for cars to get to your city you can put a airport and it works like a highway connection

UI? If you mean the weird colors, it's called the hue button in image editing :D The transport lines view is nearly impossible to see. Even I csn't see them on my own computer lol. In this map it's important to show you where the shipping lanes are
