Sorry, but chocolate already has one of the longest rot times in the game and as said, don't prepare more of it than needed. Cocoa is far easier to store anyway.

Hahaha, true, spoiled chocolate is a funny find.
It takes several years for chocolate to spoil, less when it has milk and other things in the ingredients list.
Still, Starbound Chocolate isn't made with expirable foods, but it makes sense to leave things as is, since Cocoa is spoil free.

@vinchen Difference is that coffee beans are a raw crop while chocolate is a manufactored food item. As cocoa is already spoil free and the only thing needed for chocolate I don't see the need for this. Also I already had the pleasure of having spoiled chocolate after finding an old chocolate santa in a cupboard...

I wonder, if Chocolate could be given no spoilage time... considering it has a long shelf life. It is made on a large scale and used in so many recipes in this game it would be a nice mod idea.

Great addition that I fully support! Sugar, wheat, cocoa, and mushrooms, all have no spoilage time and stacks. Coffee beans should too!

That would be possible but then I would have to change the recipes that use them and the coffee plant to use a new item and that would make this little edit less compatible with other mods if needed.

Good idea, though I wouldn't be sad if you made them inedible on their own like other stackable ingredients. Seems like a fair trade-off to me.
