I remember when this used to look like DOGSHIT, but now it looks great!
But yeah, I still think it could use a more thematic placement.
And if not, a complete redesign, though I feel that would ruin the charm...
I could use better placement, though, something more more thematic, like maybe a bonus boss found, rather uniquely, only in one of the extra boss rooms in the Void with a difficulty buff, or maybe it could be redesigned to be a piece of broken mining equipment in the Mines, and maybe it can even appear during the "Ascent" as an degraded boss, appearing as an emissary of D-...
...the "Static." To avoid spoiling others...
I think you're right, it's a bit powerful for first chapter. I'll probably change it to be a ch.2 boss by default in the next update to the mod.
In the meantime, you can change what chapter it appears on or lower its health using the options menu.
It's, not the best, But it's better than what there currently is, no offense.

I know the description says: "Art is still sort of a work in progress..." But i think anyone could do something better than the main TV sprite in 10 minutes.
The design could use some work and maybe instead of screens on the walls it could be exposed wires (with a flashing light indicating the colour), I think that would make more sence.
But it's very unique, I'm a fan! :)
But still a great mod
