Just learned about this myself. You can make another Steam account as a "family account", allow sharing of Cities Skylines to that other account. Then on that account sign up for only what you need, make the map there, pass the file back to your main account :) Tadah

Well... yeah... I can always make a vanilla map and ask someone else to add Next2 roads... sounds more interesting ;)

i just wanted to actually run map editor, cos with over ... what is it now... 6000+ assets, it fails to start off :)
is there any other solution (besides unsubsribing almost all assets and mods, which makes my cities broken even if subscribe everything back on) or do i have to simply wait until someone creates something nice again? :/

Wait a minute, I just put 2+2 together. If you're making a *map* and if you ever intend to share that map, you MUST use items directly from the Workshop. So that means unless you're making a vanilla map, you cannot use --noWorkshop. Anything that you put into local folders will not work for anyone else but you. Remove all local items while making a map so your subscribers can use the map.

yeah... ive tried that... i also put that in assets folder just in case - to no avail. I thought you would know because you used them in your map :D
I'll give it another go and then will try in their page.

Ohhh, hmm, well NExt2 is a mod that also has assets and not just a mod file. You can put mods here to make them local and thus use noWorkshop C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Mods
Whether that will allow you to use NExt2 offline or not is beyond my knowledge. Try it, then go to the NExt2 page if you can't

Can I ask - I tried to make a map using Network Extensions 2 mod, but each time i start map editor with noWorkshop launch option on , I don't seem to get any of these roads there.

Not sure now in what folder I need to paste that mod. Or maybe I need to get just some subfolders.
Can you advise anything?

By the way, you can send a friend request to message me if you need anything. If you intend to use terrain.party, ill be glad to run your heightmap through Wilbur for you if you don't know how, and Armesto has made a special new version of his Batea, and it can be placed inside map editor because it's categorized as a rock. You might want that! I will ask him about publishing it.

Hi there vitusweb! Yes, I'm testing it at the present time. I plan to release it and several others when the DLC is released. Everyone starts playing again during DLC release, so I've prepared a good number so you all have a lot of different, new maps to pick from. Here is the overlay from Vigo so you can see ethe exact locations of what is inside the playable area of my map. One thing I didn't get in are the beaches. @Kvothe it will definitely even more a challenge than Lugo, but I love the challenge. Nothing gets more insane than trying to build Monaco. There's nowhere for the larger buildings of CS. @Jaehaerys Targaryen hi. I'm sorry you're having a mod problem. Something is conflicting with another mod, perhapy with NExt2, or a mod you recently added. I wish I could help you.

@MrMiyagi Looks rad! Plus the Rande Bridge is pretty similar to the vanilla highway bridge. It will be quite a challenge to build a nice city in CS with so many hills as Vigo has though xD

Hmm! That's a good question, Shah Mirzoev. I doubt it. I have to use NExt2, and everything I made before with NExt original is broken for me and cannot be opened (this will be my last NExt item). You can try to open it if you want:, it will either work, or will hang your game and you will have to force quit it. That will be the way to find out :)
