Last I had that happen was ages ago, and only reported one other time. I know its been awhile but I would be very curious to look at the starbound.log file. It might provide some insight as to what happened, if you haven't played more than 10 times since then. (otherwise the log file would've been overwritten)
but.... answer your question, i was using a default model of avali witouth touching anything. One thing yes i used the panel vision and floor version and not the ones who say "depreceated" (something like that). After using just 2, all was softly normal. Then a few minutes ago when i tried to go a Hylotl village we have on the right side, the game just send me to my ship witouth chances to go again to the planet.
I tried to TP to the world like normally you spawn, (Since the hylotl was on the right side ver far side) but didn't work the whole planet was like broke. Then i just use my backup before to put this mod, i remove the mod. And i started continue to play on the world after that error to see if the error happen again... but nothing, until today all is normal.
I discover you can spawn npc's with a command, so used that instead of the mod :)
i know this not help to much, but was just weird bug.
I also used the Avali mod, so I dont think it has to do with the race itself. Did you provide the avali with custom armor?
Glad i made a backup before of test this mod, but is just really weird, the zone where i was checking it was no npc's from this mod. But anyway the spawnpoint where i land it was sending me back to my ship. Is like the entire world got bugged for no reasons.
After removing the mod and continue making builds i didn't see anymore the problem...
My problem was not about npctypes.
It's 'npcdamageteam' and 'npcdamageteamtype' that's not working.
I won't try messing with damageteam and damageteamtype anymore.
Also, I recorded the video on a planet, not a ship.
The config file is found at the relative path: interface/scripted/NpcMenu/modConfigv2.config. You will see an array called "npcTypeList", from there, you can add the folder/file accordingly and modify that array to include the npctypes you wish.
You can grab a copy and add it to your starbound mod directory here:
https://github.com/ThreeTen22/NpcSpawner/blob/1.2.1/interface/scripted/NpcMenu/modConfigv2.config
You can also make a .patch file as well if you wish, they should work the same way.
The NPCMaker didnt even acknowledge I type those command in like the /set level or /insert additionalnpctypes
typing "set damageteam 2" and "set damageteamtype enemy" doesnt do anything.
I would like to know too if you can also change this via /spawnnpc command.
1) never create crewmembers on the ship. Go to a planet first.
2) if you remove the spawner he should disappear.
Did you hire that person from the spawner on your ship? That is a big fat nono. Always hire people from a world. and use the detach functionality before doing so.
As for finding invisible spawners, press alt and they will be highlighted :D
one of my saves is currently plagued by an unclothed hylotl menace and she's taken residence in the engine room and they wont stop respawning
