Some weird map get's activated when I turn this mod on.
Furthermore some weird yellow/black field appearing on the top/bottom of the screen.
Fairly simple.. for anyone willing to do an extremely easy edit in the authentic source file from "Base\Artdefs" !
This change would only take effects in a new game though.

PS; Default was 0.700000 but the entire set of other instructions/calls also has various tricky inserts. The newest system (R&F) uses .. instead of :: for the Element_Class(es) defines and merged some referencing lines too.

Next, scroll down to: ;Enable Debug menu. Change the 0 to a 1, so it reads: EnableDebugMenu 1
When in game and your looking at all that fog of war, press the ~ (tilde) button, and type in “Reveal All”, without the quotes. Woosh, fog is gone. Only works for single player mode. Always backup the original.

It IS possible to have tiles that are technically in the fog of war point to the unobstructed textures -- but then it would be impossible to tell what areas were actually in the fog of war.
So a true fog of war solution will have to largely be a time and graphic-intensive one, rather than scripting, which is unfortunately not something I can tackle atm.
I've been hoping someone would write something along these lines, but I'm sorry to say that the mod hasn't really improved things for me.
I'd prefer a mod to restore Civ V's fog of war system - either I've seen the tile or I haven't.
Remembering that stuff could go on in places I haven't seen in a while is no problem for me.
Is such a mod a possibility?
To others, agree that it's only a partial solution. Changing the actual fog color (which would be the ideal) is much more involved. From my research thus far, it's not as simple as just changing a single overlay texture (I wish it were). I'll keep looking into it though.
