No, the melee weapons are hard-coded to slay all Common Infected in one hit.

hey any chance you could do a addon that makes melee like the machete or frying pan a bit weaker so then i can use addons that make melee like the machete a knife

No, it doesn't. That's why some kids love to create scripts that boost damage/penetration ten-fold without sacrificing accuracy or anything. I try to keep them balanced by keeping the stock "damage per minute" or, in case of pistols, damage per magazine.
