Dynamic Diplomacy mod fixes warmongering. just found it. He also has a remove warmonger mod.

Exactly @carterpin. This game seriously disappoints me with the warring aspect. War seems to be highly discouraged and punished. But we still need to go through all the effort and expense for an army simply as a means of defense..

is it not a major problem in the game that they declare war on you and your the warmonger? someone joins in on a war to help you then if you take a city defending from them declaring war they start a diplomatic mission against you when they were your ally ? you can never declare war once and be the worst warmonger in history it makes no sense and there are zero compatible mods to fix this in 3 years?

That was a cool Idea pOkiehi of reducing the Warmongering Penalties down to a really fair level. :-)

Good. I always thought it was stupid to have high warmonger penalties. Like, war was and still is a massive part of history.

@Omni - I never play without this mod so I can't give a comparative answer, but wars are definitely frequent in my games.

Does this end up increasing the number of wars in the game? I was wondering if the AI, realizing that the penalty is lower for war, is willing to go to war more often. I really hope so, because I just played a game (w/o the mod) where there have been two wars total on the planet, one initiated by me. This is halfway through the game, on a large map. I really want just a little more war...

vanilla just gave me extreme warmongering for being attacked by 6 countries at once, without me ever attacking anyone.
will see if this helps reduce the warmongering.

This is the biggest reduction. I only made Half as a request for those who wanted to have more penalties but still less than vanilla.

So is this less or more than your "Halved Warmongering" mod?

Does this also appliy to the AI players? Because I'd like to have this just for me as a human I know what a justifiable war is and don't want to be penalized for it , the AI doesn't.

I don't suppose its too much to ask, but is there any chance that at some point in the future, you would be willing to make a mod that flat out removes the Negativity of War Weariness?

@Bartandules What do you mean 'negative repercussions?' There's no specific warmonger penalty associated with nukes in game, but there is a war weariness penalty for every nuke launched.

I noticed that nuking civs with this mod doesn't cause any negative reprecussions in my game so I will probably switch to the 50% which I thank you for making

@Bartandules, I don't think they changed much because they seem to be relative - meaning they will just work off the values I override with this mod. I will have to do a bit more investigating to confirm, but I will let you all know soon and update it if needed.

In anticipation of this patch, you may noticed I removed let back on the war weariness changes. Otherwise, this mod would have made Alexander's unique ability worthless.

Any idea how the new warmongering changes may have effected this mod?

Max-NOR, thanks for the comment. I'm working on a couple more mods right now, but when those are done I'll do a quick edit and upload 50% and 25% variations. Give me a little while :)

so there can be a little different variants.

I honestly am not sure. If I had to guess, I'd say it will not affect the values you've already accrued but may apply to future actions. To be safe, I wouldn't use this mod on an existing save.

I got stuck on war weariness here but does this mod effect existing saved games?
