Myself and a member of the Mod Workshop community are working on making these into mod override skins so that way they can be easily applied and they will not crash your game

I don't know if it is still up to date but there was a mod called Apply Your Skin Design that allowed you to see your workshop skins (or if you shared it with others, you could see theirs too). Other than that, there isn't much else I can do. Still hoping it gets selected into PAYDAY 2.
