As I said more improvements are on the way (even though I went quiet for some time) and will arrive very soon. Stay tuned :)
So KSH make them real with segmented loading (not all of asteroid is loaded).
From my point of view KSH was just bunch of noob programers/ 3D artist that was just learning how to write engine and create 3D content.
Mostly know this as SE still has isssues that early alpha stage games have. Also 3D models are still unoptimized mess. Year ago they do not know that models can have LOD stages (level of detail).
Parachutes for example were never KeenSWH's work, they simply made it vanilla, but most likely because it was neat and almost a must have for many people and it suited Keen's "vision".
But a good game developer studio shouldn't rely on community made content itself, just because coping stuff from others is easy and unambitious, at least in my opinion. Planets was the biggest update and was a "real game changer" now Keen goes the opposite and calls a kind of small featured update (Economy update) "a real game changer" and kicks out one DLC after another one, without caring for the most crucial bugs (much).
I would wait for Starbase to come out as its a game thats already more advanced than SE. Better physics engine, voxel hybrid, movable asteroids and Planets later on. I'm done with SE.
@Goeffrey No problem
Thank you for this laugh :)
