I like this compered to other engineers revolvers on workshop, because this is more different compered to spys revolvers and its easier to tell that its for engineer rather than for spy.

I dont know. A more western style revolver would fit engie more. The whole mateba revolver look seems more "fashionable" in a sense, something fit more for spy.

This is my favorite engie revolver on the workshop. The stats presented in the Karma Charger video seem balanced enough. I could imagine engies using this with the widowmaker or just any primary for that matter. The quick-draw crit mechanic could be used in so many situations. I can just imagine new playstyles being used thanks to this weapon. This revolver with the frontier justice would be a fun combo. You have three shotgun shots that you can reserve as you use our secondary. If you get some kils with revenge crits you can also have quick-draw crits that just add to what you can use. I support your idea and hope that this can make it into the game in the future.

Probably sometime in the future we will release it as a mod with stock animations, though we probably won't release a version with animations because mods that do rely on them are a hassle to maintain and keep functioning as time goes on.

I don't really mean to be rude or anything here, but the "Mayann" theme isn't as strict as you'd like for it to be, even after it was basically overridden by Valve's Jungle update.

I appreciate you showing interest in the set and trying to suggest feedback, but after we've done all this work on an item, you can't really expect us to go back in time, completely rewrite the idea, and do it all over again just because you don't think it fits as well as it could.

the Mateba doesn't really fit with Mayann's theme. If you want a revolver that fits with the setting stick with the Smith & Wesson M1917. (Indiana Jones's gun in ROTLA)

TF2 has a lot of different widely ranging weapon designs from all over different time periods with really unrealistic stuff like automated turrets, laser cannons, magical healing fire hoses, and molecular teleporters.

Does it honestly really matter if the gun is from the wrong time period as long as it looks like it fits?

I hate to be that guy, but TF takes place in 1972. The Mateba was designed 25 years later.

Perhaps if you looked at the full set together, and put into consideration which interpretation of ocelot the set is based off of, maybe the answer would be a bit more obvious.
