That's how I used to start on this map

It took me a significant amount of time really, but thankfully I was only changing a pre-existing map. It's always important for me to provide credit to the original map creator.

I would say at least 50+ hours. I have always been a fan of railways so making it seem realistic-ish was really important to me. So thank you for noticing! :D

@blackwiddow: Took me a really long time (6th try) for a good and easy starting setup on your map, that i can build up to 100000 citizen city ;)

@blackwiddow: I made a testplay and this map is impressive. And difficult 2 play if you do not want to make a lot of landscaping. LOVE IT. The project will start at the end of may ;) Stay safe!

p.s.: The way you build the highway and the traintracks into the landscape is f***ing awesome. How long did it take you to make this map?

@Studio M23 aw, dude that's awesome. Link it so I can follow along and watch what you create. I'm currently working on my own map from the ground up, but that will be a while as I have children lol :D But hopefully the community like it as much as these enhanced maps.

I love it! It's impossible to not build a beautiful city in this! Thanks! But to be honest, it's a beginner map and perfekt if you do not know how to set up your city layout and network connections and stuff.

Hey, love this map! I'm having a problem getting rail to work though. I've placed a station and it's not receiving any international trains at all. I can't even place two stations on the same bit of track a few hundred feet from each other and create a line between them. Any idea what's going on and how I can fix it? I'm in too deep to want to restart on a new map now!

it says the custom map or save is missing, i downloaded the 2 other maps but still not working any thoughts on how to fix?

@sander815 you'll need road anarchy or some mod like that to allow some roads to be changed as they touch, or rare too close for vanilla edits

@sander yeah man just load the map in the editor and swap the roads around then start a game on the edited map

Really love this map. Kudos to both blackwiddow and svampan for this amazing map. That being said, anyone knows similar maps to this? Mountains everywhere with coast lines and "spreadable" build areas. I've made almost 5 runs on this map but somehow needs to try other maps too.

Great map, very cool looking. I'll give a word of warning to people though, which is the highway and train connections kind of suck. They're both very elevated, and hard to build off of, especially without mod tools like TM and Move It. But it's a bit better if you use the districts to the south across the river, instead of going north and east, which feels more natural.

I think for me my favourite map is probably my other remaster of 7th Island but Delta Range was my first ever map that I built on and I have to agree it ruined other maps for me too, so I decided to bring the final map I had essentially remodelled onto steam for people to play on as I think it looked really nice visually.

I'm so glad Target has decided to build on it as I love seeing people try to utilise the terrain and see what different choices he has made to what I had initially created.

I downloaded this map after watching T4rget's Youtube series.

This map is simply put, amazing. The variety of terrain, amazing vistas, rivers, beaches, mountains, it boggles the mind how much effort went into creating this map, both the original author and yourself remastering it. I've now put more time into this map than all my other cities combined, and I have been playing CS on and off since it was released.

My one criticism, this map has ruined every other map for me, I wanted to start a new city and every other map I load is so flat and/or boring!

After seeing this amazing map on T4get thought to myself and gotta download it.

This is my favorite map that I have built on so far. Ive only made half a dozen proper cities but this is certainly top of the list. the way you are forced to build around terrain creates a really unique challenge and keeps the builder from creating massive, expansive grid layouts. This will likely end up being the first fully built out city. Also- big props on the natural earth ramps that connect high and low ground, made it so much easier to connect neighborhoods

Great map but I made a horrific mistake. I waited too long to build a 2nd highway exit. the traffic got real bad so the trash trucks couldn't pick up any garbage. People got sick. 10,000 citizens dies in a matter of in game days. My income dropped to -7,000. Went bankrupt. Pro tip, careful for traffic.

@The_Emperror that is such an awesome compliment, thank you man. It shows that when I was planning the map and trying to enhance it that it was not in vain! I really appreciate you taking the time to post this as this was indeed my intention when making it. As I wanted vanilla players to get the same enjoyment out of it!

What I love most about this map is the overall design. The resources fit nicely within the square tiles, you aren't cutting a buildable area in half when you buy a new tile, cause some vanilla maps you buy a tile and the beach turns out is outside the tile or the railway goes on the other side of the tile border. Here everything is where it is useful. It's a bit tricky to follow the geography but that makes it even better. It's not just a huge open plain. I love it. A lot...

How do I get the map theme for this map?

Been enjoying this map :) only complaint is there aren't many rail connections for your industry areas until you're far, far into the city, and bringing the rail down from the high elevation causes too steep messages or conversely laying the track will just carve out a huge canyon. Overall a great map though, it's fun to follow the terrain with roads and neighbourhoods :)

do i need to download the required items?

I dont know if its because of a mod i have installed, but near the beach in the first area it is acting funny when i build a road, it keeps thinking the roads there are underground and the roads i build above ground drop the elevation of the ground, it only seems to happen by the beach in the starting area same side as the highway, the map looks amazing tho.

You don't NEED those mods, you can still play the map without them, just click "continue" when asked to subscribe to the map

can't subscribe, there is a kind of luss, you have to subscribe rhinestone Island 10.5, but that does not work because for that you have to subscribe rhinestone Island1.5, and vice versa

Love the use of elevation on this map, really made me look for some creative solutions to keep the city connected

Uninstall Daylight Classic mod as you don't really need it for this map to work to be honest. Also try using Relight mod by Ronyx, it helps a lot with this kinda stuff :)

For some reason this map is insanely bright and none of the color correction mods I'm using make it so white of buildings isn't blinding. Any advice would be welcome.
