I hope this bug report will help you to improve this mod. I love it.
Also, the spearman corpse turned to the south meets the same glitch. (I suspect some other frames of spearmen are lacking either but I'm not sure to have spotten everything).
However, this mod is awesome and makes the game realistic. You got my 5 stars.
But I'm not going to do that as every game I play theres literally 10 corpses on every couple of yards I move and on maps with a lot of bottlenecks it already becomes a carpet of corpses :p. Plus there might be a performance problem in the end when theres almost a 100000 sprites on your screen on some computers.
It's a workaround, not a main fix as a mod has to stay in the mod folder. The main problem is that the savegame file doesn't save the data set mod we used. If the game did that, it would restart knowing it has to restart with that dataset, and not the one from the main resources folder. So yeah as I stated earlier, it's up to the developers to fix this :(
" you have to replace your Age2HD/resources/_common/dat/empires2_x1_p1 with the empires2_x1_p1 from my non-dlc version, and empires2_x2_p1 with the one from this DLC version if you want this to work for savegames and campaigns. Make sure you backup your original files though! "
So i did the same thing with yours Xena, replaced both original files with your ones ( Massacre Mod - Expansions, and "Normal" Massacre Mod ).
Works, i saved my Campaign, quit, reload and they decay just like before, proper time...
Like i said, havent tried MP, but I'm confident.
But hey, they're working on it i think, and so far multiplayer lag has been improved too so its going in the right direction. Just shows how reviving old games, if done well, will always be popular and greatly appreciated.
