did you try playing solo mode to make sure it wasn't a server issue? did you try typing snd_restart into the console? If not, give those a shot, and let us know if you have success or failure.

Oh damn, I was wrong. For some reason, the insurgency voices are also present in the DOI directory... That had me confused. Turns out the files that DOI uses for death are in much greater numbers and variety, within some different folders. It'll take a bit of work replace them all. And I'm about to head out, so I won't be able to get it done very soon.

Hm, I wish I knew that earlier lol I'll keep that in mind if/when I get back to making mods

Oh and here's a tip. With mods like this, where there are 38 sound files that it replaces, and they are all the same sound, you can actually just have one sound file instead of all 38. You just edit the sound script, so instead of playing a random file from the 38, it only looks for the one file. this can cut down the size of the mod a lot.

Ok, I did a test. The mod doesn't just work straight up from insurgency. You gotta turn the folder into a .vpk using the vpk.exe in the doi folder.

Ok, I had a look. the filenames and the folder structure is exactly the same between the two games.

The difference is probably the names of the files/folders, and the fact you gotta use the vpk.exe in the doi folder to make the mod, instead of the vpk.exe in the insurgency folder. Although, I'm not even sure if that's necessary.

Then yeah I'm guessing one of us could get around to it, it's probably about as simple as changing some folders and maybe file names in vpk
