let me list why I think the simfphys base is better than any other base:
- a fairly realistic engine system. RPMs are actually simulated, which isn't the case with the default car base. subsequently my cars have properly animated gauges
- because RPMs are actually simulated, car sounds correlate with what the engine is actually doing, which the default base doesn't do
- you can easily go above like 150-200 km/h and still have pretty manageable handling, which I'm pretty sure you can't do with the default base
- you can easily script various types of cars, ranging from crappy FWD hatches to (actually 100%) RWD supercars (that you can floor and still manage to control!!) and to drift missiles, all of which can be made to handle realistically at all speeds. not to mention how easy it can be to set up scripts compared to the default vehicle base
