@phill, I just tried that as well with continue game vs load game and map type. At least we know how to get around it now, I'll update the description.

Instead of just hitting continue game, which will just load your last save with the options you have. If you select load save you can change the map type

I tried open it an saving it in the map editor, but then instead of errors on the map the game exe just started crashing.

Hmm, didn't think submitting a map to the workshop would be such a headache, lol.

@Phill you might be on to something there if it is working for you, what do you mean by loading the save manually?

I found that if I loaded the save manually, making sure alpine was selected, it worked fine.

Oh and when i try to leave the map my game crashes or freezes so i have to force shut down city skylines

yea i cant seem to get it to work i got it to load with alpine reserve by going into the editor, going to themes and loading it up, then after saving and leaving the map would load with alpine reserve but what happend was there was a big clear but tall odd messed up chunk in the middle of everything so idk

Scrap that. Just reloaded a save and it seems to have gone back to the default texture. Not good.

I had the same issue and I subscribed to all of the dependencies in the previous, corrupt map. Works fine now.

@TheKing858, You could try loading the map in the map editor and seeing if it will let you select the theme before you load it, then save it. But that is all I can think of in terms of trouble shooting. I've only used the map and theme editor twice, so I am not very experienced with these types of problems. But it also seems to be working for some and not for others, so it is unfortunately hard to track down the issues.

It will let me use the theme for a few of the stock maps, just not this map...?

Im getting the same problem is the rest of them, no alpine theme ive got everything downloaded though :/

Downloaded and played. Everything worked properly except for a little flickering on trees but that could be one of my mods.

@Freelancer, T bone -TSE, so there is no option to select the alpine theme with the Enviroment Changer mod like in this screen shot?

No Alpine Reserve in any option. Because of the theme itself maybe?

@Freelancer, were you able to select the Alpine Reserve theme or did it not show up as an option?

I downloaded this map and all the other subs that I needed and when I launch it I get a message that says "warning: the custom map theme used by this map or save is missing. A default map theme will be used instead. Do you use to proceed?
