still working great here in 2023. not the best for super-heavy traffic but amazing for medium or mildly-heavy traffic. looks awesome. Cheers

Thank you very much, landandskygirl! I'm glad you found it useful.

This is my absolute favorite interchange in the entire workshop. Exceptionally efficient with high capacity traffic cities and yet so simple to use, perhaps better than the DCMI. You've made the road geek in me proud. Cheers :steamhappy:

So, I tested it for one in-game year in the Better Intersection Stress Test savegame by SlaxX (http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=410405710&searchtext=stress+test) . Basically, I didn't see any significant problems on the roundabout itself although the merging on the highway was expectedly weird. I personally never place interchanges close to each other though. All in all, I'm pretty confident about this one's capacity.

To kapustor666, sorry but I don't have a solution for the roundabout issue, there isn't much room to change things around to that extent. The highway paired ramps is easily resolved with the Network Extensions Mod, attaching this intersection with 5 lane highways will give all traffic the lanes they need without merging.

Cool! I think I'll do a tougher stress test to some of my intersections, perhaps in the end of the week.

oh i simply meant i havnt had the chance to test so i cant vouch for its efficiency.

To Praecipita and jvs: I did test it with a fairly moderate traffic without major problems. Did you experience pileups with it? I do get that there might be some problems with heavier traffic. How do you suggest putting roundabout exit before roundabout enterance? By making one pass over another through a bridge? I think that would require a much bigger junction though. Nevertheless, I'll avoid putting ramps on opposing sides of the highway in the future, I suppose ;)

Hi, thank you for your reviews. To Praecipita: Yes, the cone-like things are there so you can connect a large (or small) road to the end of it, thus you'll have a branching road before the roundabout.

This is a beautiful service interchange, nice symmetry and the smoothness of the ramps is great. I fear that it's function won't match up to its beauty. On the roundabout the merge points are grouped together and will cause a back up as vehicles try to to enter and exit at nearly the same point. If the exits were placed before the entrances this roundabout design would avoid the merge/weave points and traffic would flow much better. On the highway part having pairs of ramps connect at the same point on the highway look great, but because of how the cims navigate at ramp points the highway effectively becomes a single lane. As a vehicle approaches a highway ramp that they are not using, they merge away from the ramp. With the pairs of ramps together all traffic merges to the center lane creating a big bottleneck.

Yes we are judging by the second picture. Nice exit its pleasing to the eye. i cant vouch for its efficiency though.

How is it meant to work exactly? Are we meant to hook the connecting roads into the bits jutting out from the round about?
