Hi Again I posted On the Macro cannon mod asking this so if you respond to it and say yes or no to it then if yes Can we get permission to use this one as well? This Weapon is really great, but can you maybe add some depression to the guns? This would make the turret even better.

Well, that's a fair point too, but my main concern is being able to murder things using only reactors and uranium. Although, reading this discussion has gotten me thinking about some changes. For instance, in addition to the laser modifications, I'd like the range to be increased to around 1.2 kilometers, as well as the AI modification where it carves a gash in enemy ships, as stated below. Speaking of, do you know of a way that might be achieved?

dont think ammo over power and effects is the problem
problem is that right now its somewhere inbewteen a slow AA turret and a pop gun, instead of a propper ranged anti ship turret

Also, if you do decide to do so, would it be possible to modify the turret's tracking to make it drag the beam along the length of enemy ships?

I was going to say something about lasers, but then I saw that it had already been discussed, so I propose a solution that should keep everybody happy. Is there a chance you'd be willing to release an alternate version that uses power instead of ammo, in addition to this one?

Thats how a plasma beam or Cutter actually Works though, is to burn away the target. You just up the damage out the yang so that when it hits instead of looking like its punching a small hole, the drag through of the shot while moving makes it look like a scalpel cutting lines accross the ship. However be that as it may, your mod your call. As is though, w/o some form beam effect to it all we get is the turret sprite, which isnt bad. The functioning is just that of an inaccurate rocket barrage. And the only reason I point on that is There is such a turret in 40k already that you could use the model for. But for function, a home brew turret made of Little Davids gives more of a Lance feel to its punches. I dont Dislike the turret. I am just giving a critical view on it.

could you not just boost damage per found, and ecrease range?
to make it more like the actual thing, just without beam effects

@squirejj is right; while a plasma beam is "possible", the effect is gives is so dissapointing that it just looks lackluster and without any real impact. Should Keen add options for this however, or someone figure it out, I'll certainly update the mod.

I don't think His Divinity couldn't make the beam effect, what I understood from our conversation, he could make it but he couldn't get the desired effect when the beams hit a target. The beam weapons I saw on workshop all of them just eats away at a block until it is destroyed and what I understood from His Divinity he want it to have an explosion when it hits a target.

@hickbelly I would love to have bombarment cannons myself for my current project, but they will need to be realy big for my ship, about 22 blocks (lenght "This includes the 10 block long barrel) x 9 blocks (height) x 13 blocks (width).

First macro batteries, then the nova cannon, now lance batteries, keep it coming man. Next you should do chaos versions of the macro batteries and lance batteries.

cant u copy the system used by the laser and plasma turrets? they use power not ammo and they also fire like a an actual lance battery would.

If you want to make it an energy weapon, there's a couple of mods on the workshop that have done an excellent job of it, such as the Energy Weapons mod. Have a look at the code for those perhaps?

you cant currently make a weapon in SE that uses encreased power when fireing, it needs some for of ammo

So far, I have loved ALL of your "gothic" mods. Just perfect! I think that you coud make the range of these lance turrets longer, as in the 40k universe they are long reange weapons. Still perfect though!
