By the way, you got it backwards: it's the TWO-handed skill katana that there was no point making--you can't use a Katana that fortifies your two-handed weapon skill while you're holding a Katana in one of your hands. If, on the other hand, the katana fortifies your ONE-handed skill, the enchantment improves the weapon's own damage...

Heh. I should've read it all. (sigh) not what I'm looking for, I just want a simple, clean, authentic-looking Katana that gets all bloody when I cut people with it. Not the Blades sword, either, which... really looks bad. Ah well, back to the search.

WAY overpowered man..good idea but i got too unsubscribe.

Only sword I ever use now!!! Definately the best mod I have subscribed to.
To answer kylesc0567's question, the sword is indeed a one handed item, but levels the designated skill (ie Light Armor, 2-handed). What's so awesome about this is that you can wield more than one item- like a sheild, spell or even another Katana.

Makes the modder seem selfish and somewhat ignorant. It's not like anyone is likely to become famous or rich if they shared their files and allowed people to credit them, but he has absolutely ensured he absolutely will never become famous, rich or well-liked by not allowing anyone to use his files and credit him.

Us steam modders don't get paid, all we can get out of our great effort is recognition, and the more we share our work the more likely we'll be recognized. It's Free advertisement that he's shut out; now model thieves will come and steal his model without crediting him, so they cant easily be traced. It truly makes no sense to not freely share on steam.

If u want a more balanced weapon...use a skill that u havnt leveld up or dont want to level up...will keep damage down

i uninstalled this mod after using it for a while. But when i wnet to the smith all of the katanas were still there? What happended

Just open console, and type in player.forceav smithing 5000 and then temper a sword dare ya. lol

great mod but as you said overpowered but the idea is great and with some balancing maybe the best weapon mod.

This is a cheat item. I made this when every first mod I made was overpowered.
I will at some stage do a perhaps more balanced version with retexuring & effects.

Would be good if it was more balanced aswell becauset the damage they do now is rather over powered.

Perhaps, I could make another mod, like this to add the onehanded sword & even add enchantments to make each skill level up faster.

Yes. You could use a fortify smithing potion & temper the original blades sword.
or use a cheat item for making your smithing skill stronger.
You could use the amulet of rediculation for that, I used to.

To be honest I like the damage out put. So you're saying if I wished to get my one handed skill up I'd need to use a different blade?

Only one skill at a time can be used on a weapon.
All vanilla weapons have one handed.
I just changed that on each of these weapons, replacing the default one handed setting.
There was no point making one for the One-handed skill,
as the Blades Sword is aready set as one handed.

I like this mod and I have used it for awhile now. I could'nt help noticing though that my one handed skill wasn't increasing. Please take a second look at this mod, as myself and others enjoy the concept and idea. Cheers

i have this mod but im having problems skills increase yes but when i level up i use the perks and choice of health but on the next level my perks are gone and my health that i added decrease help?

Smithing stopped at 30, Im useing the training dummies to test ir a bit, it went up 5 points and stoped a little into 30, dose anyone know a fix or if it conflicks with anything?

wow i hit a dragon 3 times and my enchanting went to 100....thats a little op but still a nice adition

dragon blood sword sounds awsome. however being a modder you have to realize the tweaking as you said is time consuming. unbearable as well.
