The foregrip isn't actually detachted from the weapon like that. It's intended to look like that in the preview. Not in the FP model.

It's default but you can get those mods that increases your viewmodel FOV.

Making the charging handle move during the fire anims would be easy, but I'm not sure about the actual hands fitting the SCAR, as the general proportions of the weapon are different from your standard AR, you'd get clipping of the hand with both lower and upper receiver. as you can see here [imgur.com]. Red is SCAR, blue is vanilla Mk18.

I won't even need to bother with the charging handle on reload anims because both the Mk18 and SCAR-L have a bolt release button in the same spot, which the vanilla anims use when performing a full reload. Reloading a SCAR-L can also be done the same way.

@Ed - I know even less about animating but getting the bolt to move isn't terribly hard. The point Rymd's making is it will be hard to animate the hand pulling the charging handle if it's in a completely different place. Your best bet is to take the charging/activation from another gun where the charging handle is in a similar spot. But like he said if you can make it work. I have pretty high regard for animators, that's something I can't do.

While the charging handle on both guns are in different positions, the bolt release is in the same place, the only issue being that the Mk18 has no visible moving parts when the gun is firing but I probably wouldn't mind the bolt doing nothing while shooting. I know next to nothing about animating so getting the bolt to move would probably be beyond me.

hmm...just wondering, any chance at all for a version that uses default anims? Not saying the animations are bad, it's just that I much prefer the vanilla ones. If not then that's cool, only asking because after reading Mr Brightside's model hacking tutorial (http://mrbrightsideanimator.net/tutorials/tutorial_insurgencymodelhack.html) it mentions that it's meant for replacing parts of weapons, rather than replacing entire weapon meshes. Was planning on combining vanilla anims with the SCAR-L mesh and editing the model itself to have no AFG as a personal mod.

You cannot remove the AFG because the animation uses it, you can remove the AN/PEQ by unpacking the .vpk and delete the flashlight/laser model files.

How can I go about removing the angled foregrip and AN/PEQ attachment so I stick with vanilla attachments?

Alright, I found what it was. It was a M4A1 replacer I subscribed to, that came with it's own foregrip. Since it wasn't a foregrip mod per se and only affected the M4A1, I thought that it would not interfere with this one. Well, I was wrong. Unsubscribed to it and now it works like a charm again. Sorry for those walls of text, I'll know better next time.

I'm more than sure that it is a conflicting foregrip mod or a mod that replaces the Mk18's standard_ models.

From what I can tell there are no conflicting files, Farengar. I haven't even subscribed to any foregrip replacers. I've added a picture, where you see the grip behind the mag (https://imgur.com/XqHZTgC) , but honestly it's no big deal. You would barely even see the front grip if it was there anyway and if it's not a widely encountered problem, it's not worth to worry about it.
