I have downloaded the mod and the pork barrel does not appear, even in anew game - does the mod no longer work?

I have the mac version of this game, but when i place the pork barrels down on the map, I get no money...
I tried looking for the res\models\model\asset\pork_barrel.mdl" but it's not in this directory on Mac.
suggestions?

I must start new game? :(
Fortunately its easy change game to debug in game option but it is not possible repay. Next year i start new game and I hope the mod will be functional :)

Just recently subscribed, i have changed the amount and even put it in the folder it says to use. I still can not find it in the game. I looked in the Terrain part, in each section, even all the other parts, and still nothing.

So i thought, i'd stat a new game, as i was only continuing from previous save. However, it is still the same, can not be found anywhere. Where is it?

FAQ:

Barrel is found in game under category Terrain Assets.
Press icon Terrain -> Asset brush-> Question mark
(where you find Lamp, bench, fence)

Edit value of the barrel is done by editing the pork_barrel.mdl found in your steamfolder
Open with a texteditor and edit the price string
i.e "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\446800\858004748\res\models\model\asset\pork_barrel.mdl"

The barrel is under Terrain and then the Asset Brush, then it's the very last icon on the right. But does not work with No Costs Mod

If you can't find the barrel icon, check your mods folder. If you have mods/858004748_Pork_Barrel/858004748 Pork Barrel/. Move the 858004748 Pork Barrel folder into the mods folder and delete the 858004748_Pork_Barrel folder. It worked for me

I subscribed the mod, enable it before starting a new game, but the pork barrel icon is not in the described location or any where that I can find. Any ideas!!

Yeah, doesn't seem to be showing for a lot of people. I've looked in all of the asset menus including (and especially) the one shown in the picture for the mod. I have no other mods installed. Curious..

It would actually be nice for the barrels to cost 500k wen you remove them, why ? you can still have as much money as you want, but the debuff is, you have pork barrels all over the map, basicly a loan instead of a free run

Do somthing on tax evastion, I can't keep on buying metro trains and the police can use gold bars as evidence. I have 60M in subway trains and am running train lines in the middle of nowhere just to burn the money till i can find a way to store it.

Please help.

Thanks for the thumbs up skully, I use debug mode as well, but I still drop the barrel rather then use alt key, I like to keep track of how much extra money I use ;-)

Babygirl, make sure you dont turn on the "No Cost Mode" in the mod window when starting a new game or loading a saved game.

Does this election gift give $500K on recurring basis each year as long as barrel is sitting on the map? Or do you get 500K one time only when you plop the barrel?

Narrelama, using a reduced costs mod would be the same as Subsidies

Easy to change the amount it gives. With a good text editor, edit pork_barrel.mdl found in
....SteamApps\workshop\content\446800\858004748\res\models\model\asset\ and change the cost, it's obviously a minus figure. tip: when you place the barrel, you can safely delete it.

wow - this has the potential to actually *save* this shamble and introduce some game dynamics!

If you could possibly base the output on the population/wealth of the proximate towns/cities - and maybe also factor in inflation (if that is a factor in the game at all - never bothered/managed to play for very long)..

Really miss the quite obvious features of grants and subsidies - this could be a nice save.

I just changed it, because some other mod`s (don`t ask me why...) are not compatiable with the no cost... So i need money to build my stuff ^^

Thank you for the kind words lemansgranprix and the others, I'm glad you enjoy the mod, I also use it for that little cash boost starting a new map.

KnockbackKing, I was going to write up and tell you how to edit the mod.lua file, but it looks like you already found it. By now your most likley laughing at the way I did this, but it works.

Let me know how your edit went.

Is it possible to change the number off the money that this asset "produce"?
500k is a little bit to small for me... I want to change it to 5M ._.
