It seems i have conflict with Chaos unlimited? Vortex is fine in custom battles, but doesn't show in campaign. Any solutions, maybe ?

@Priest On closer inspection of my mods it seems I still have the awesome Norsca one installed, which, while awesome, also seems to encourage the Beastmen and Chaos to fill armies with Vortex Beasts. Is there a way top limit how many the AI will purchase?

I too have this problem! Despite not being subscribed to this mod anymore I just had Kholek show up with 4 of these buggers and an army of chosen. Undead do not like!

mabye it should have some kind of aura the dmg or drains vigor. to represent the chaos magic it emits

@Chomp I removed that restrictions from chaos, so they are now available tier 4 for both of them. They should probably be tier 5 unit, but i would have to create different versions for chaos and beastmen and i rather not do that

okay i played them whit morghur and damm they fit well in a spawm heavy army. one thing i see that is difrent then whit chaos.
if you play chaos you need the soawm building and a tier 5 horde but whit beast men you only need the pits of horror. this lead to them bieng at tier 4 at beastmen. shouldnt they also be tier 5?

I was wondering, have you considered giving it magical attacks? No real reason for it, but might be a nifty nod to the fact its litterally held together by the pure power of Chaos. Just a thought.

Oh I know I said its not supposed to be clearly, my whole bit was just that the Giant and the Shaggoth have quite a bit more utility due to Armor peircing and the fact their animations stagger the ♥♥♥♥ out of the Vortex Beast. I don't think it needs much of a buff other than maybe some armor peircing.

@t42bug well its not meant to be fighting 1v1 against giant..
Im not gonna touch on the price, instead im just gonna buff it a bit

After playing around with it, I'm not certain about the price... I mean its powerful as hell yes, but easily countered by other monsters like the much cheaper giant due to how weird the models are. The Giant can just stunlock the ♥♥♥♥ out of the Vortex beast. I get that its not its job, and its built in spells are POTENT, having a free Pit of Shades on hand per horrbile giant gribbly is nothing to sniff at, but the Shoggoth is just overall much more dependable it makes me feel it should cost less than the Shoggoth, if only by a little.

Balanced version for Radious Mod would be nice :)

After reading up again on the Mutalith Vortex Beast, it'd be amazing if there was a way for it to mutate enemy troops. The lore mentions how the waves of mutating power can twist men together to form a hideous Chaos Spawn. Probably an overkill ability, even if possible.

@t42bug Not yet, it does however get bonuses from chaos lords monster buff, can't remember the name

This unit is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sweet, but is it affected by Lord bonuses like A Thousand Twisted Blessings?
