Step 1 find where your downloaded mods are stored.
Step 2 cilck on this mod then left click properties
Step 3 open mod.info (open it with notepad)
Step 4 change the MinGameVersion to this "3.115" and the MaxGamVersion to this MaxGameVersion "3.262.1"
Step 5 click save
Step 6 close it
Step 7 start your game up and see if it worked

once you have done what clare said (but the version on maxgameversion is 3.262.1) then make sure you go into singleplayer and enable the mod in the menu. otherwise it wont show up in the editor.

Load the editor, hit f3, hit ecsape (esc), find Western Front German Defense and open it, then double click German Defense.mi.

You have to play this in the Editor. You won't find it in the normal game. :)
