@James Brown The vertical grip and drum mag were optional for the M1928A1,just not for the M1 and M1A1 thompson SMGs

BTW This isnt the tommy gun. The tommy gun has a vertical grip and drum mag.

This is actually not the version made famous by gangsters in the 1920s. That version usually sported a barrel shroud, with a pistol grip replacing the normal hand-guard, and it also carried a drum magazine that held anywhere from 50 to 100 rounds of .45 auto. At the end of the barrel you could often see a cutts recoil compensator. All of these features are from the iconic mobster machine gun we all know and love.
