As an aside, I also concur with the thought that AI versions of the piloted cockpits should be added. Maybe instead of adding AI move blocks to this mod, you could make a new version where each cockpit type can be any AI block. So you could have a large-grid ship in which the "command chair" is the move block, then it can have chairs representing offense/defense blocks to either side of it, and one that's a task block in front.

Any chance you could make a cryopod version? My main reasoning is simply that I want an occupied cryopod as a decorative block, but it could possibly be expanded to have some functional purpose, like an oxygen tank.

Also, on this mod and the cryopod one, there should be versions with female engineers.

Maybe I could add a block type to that list and include the AI Movement block as one type so it would make it useful as a piloted cockpit that also moves the ship

It may be enhanced by AI enabled, but does not need it, they are just remote control blocks, this was made well before the AI blocks and really only made it so you had occupied seats. In description is block types.

no, it's a remote control, so you can set it to follow waypoints, it does not have the new ai blocks in it, so they really are just pilot seats with a character in them.

A nice addition to the game to give it a better feel, not so lonely out there in the big black. I think they look good and have the added bonus of being interactive also. Great job mate.

The OpenCockpitPilot block activating the "ScreenAreas" command rotates the axis in the opposite direction and the screen area is distorted and does not show the script correctly.
I did some testing and found the problem.

The remote control pilot is upside down, I use his MOD on my MODs and realize that the remote control pilot appears looking inside the ship instead of looking out of the ship.

The remote blocks are emerging from the opposite side, and the helmet is pink in color.

The dead engineer's face is without the texture, appears with the purple face.

I'm afraid this is also crashing my single player game. (latest version). Too bad too, I really wanted some "piloted" cockpits for my automated transport ships. Thanks for all your hard work!

This isn't working on my MP server anymore (this and a bunch of other mods), I assume related to the error AngelMarc posted. The runtime error looks like this (the exception is caught):

I know i had asked this before, but what about a cockpit that looks like a Remote block, that just hides the pilot when they are inside and has a hidden conveyor port on the bottom just like the standard cockpit? or a small block variant that you can use to make a ship that looks like a drone but actually has a pilot.

It could get the materials through it, some fighters depend on to turn on a hydrogen thruster or reload machine guns.

Any chance on making the Wrist computer thing an access terminal? When having multiple CB/Remotes, it would be nice to access the block directly

Which by the way is awsome when making big capital ships, because you can fill your bridge up with maned stations that are Programming blocks and one or two 'Pilots' then sit in whatever modded chair you want in the captains position then command (ie control the remote) one of your pilots to fly the ship. Wish you had one like this where you added the models to Kolt command console stations maybe have one that acts as an antenne
