I lost a tainted lost run to this, I found a trapdoor and when underground and had the two chest above and below set up and I didn't see the bottom chest and it spiked me.

Why does this mod feel like and Undertale reference?

I'm not sure, but this mod may need an update. I've noticed recently that it doesn't seem to be working.

i've been having some issues recently where it won't seem to work anymore after i have consumed it in a smelter. Anyone else noticed this? or is it just the most recent booster pack causing it?

So, I know people have already said this and I really like this concept but I feel that the spiked chests alone is too small a trinket use.

How about if it always protects from Spiked Chests, but gives a chance that Spikes, Cursed Room doors and the 3 variants of spike enemies don't damage you? Even if it's a 10% chance. I think that'd make a big difference for me.

trinkets aren't supposed to be op laddos this is great 9.5/10 because nobody is perfect but this is everything a trinket should be it even has a description that feels like something from this game

Yes. if they power up the chance of the SpikeChest to appear i would like to see it in Tboi

This should also make spike chests appear more often or pay out the same as gold chests, I feel like the expected value of spike chests over the run is minimal.

This would be great for a long Victory Lap chain, mimics are one of the most likely ways to die with no health...

How about making it so the gloves also make you immune to the slider traps? I looked into more and it turns out spike chest share the drops with brown chests, so making them spawn more would be totally useless :P

What the guy below me said. Would make it really useful and not just another "I'm not even gonna bother to pick this up" trinket.

Add an immunity from damage taken from entering Cursed Rooms and you might have one of the most popular trinkets in the game.

@Erfly fair enough, most trinkets are simple. Adding more effects might push it into something that a passive item is more suited for. But I guess I'll leave it like it is for now and see if adding anything is highly suggested or not ^ ^

I think it works with just the simple effect it has now. Trinkets should be rather simple.

@Ashkait, thanks for the suggestion. I had thought of maybe having it cause more spiked chests to spawn as well, so maybe I will have a look into that for a future update :D

I like it! However spiked chests and mimics can spawn rarely IMO. Maybe make it so holding this trinket increases the chance of spike chests spawning? (or make a seperete item like that, like the left hand)
