Huh, I didnt know trinkets were seperated like that... interesting. Always figured they probably had a "pool" of their own in the same sense as other things.

This is not an item, this is a trinket. As far as I know, you have to do something extra to make a trinket drop natually in-game. However, I cannot find any sort of file that involves the game's trinket drop pool (which is different than an item pool). If someone knew the solution (if there is one), I'd love to hear it!

This trinket works by granting you the Holy Mantle passive effect at the start of every floor, and removing it when you take a hit. The actual Holy Mantle item overrides this, giving you the shield every room, rendering this trinket pointless if you have the item. But this is true with a lot of other trinkets in the game, such as trinkets that grant certain tear effects which end up useless if you have the item they're based off. This is basically a lite version of Holy Mantle in trinket form. Probably not the most exciting trinket ever, blocking 1 damage per floor, but hey, can't go wrong with negating some damage.
