ocean got over populated with spadetails, not enough nords to eat all the fish, the ecosystem is very wack since there is no top predators and someone stoled my sweet roll. Great mod!

I figure this is a stretch, but as a long time user of this mod, I would like to humbly request a special edition version. This mod was, for me, the single-most worthwhile mod on the entire workshop, and I hope you'll consider a Skyrim SE version.
I will completely respect whatever your decision regarding this is. Either way, thank you for the this mod, and the relief it has given me for years.

Slaughterfish: The bane of fast traveling

Who knows, I haven't updated this in years.

Hum, since I just fell face-to-face with three slaughterfishes.... Do you have any bug with your mod? It appears in my mods on steam, but I can't see it in Skyrim mods....

I was looking EXACTLY for a mod that do this! Thank you very much! The only video games that aquatics monsters don't scares me, it's the Zelda saga xD I just can't go in water. If I do, I just stop breathing and have a heart attack xD

Got a mod that makes them the size of sharks with health and damage to match. I am afraid to go in the water now. So I got a mod called Telekinetics that lets me use a spell that increases speed and lets me run over the water. Mods are great.

i remember the first time i swam in the karth river. i was like "i can get fom markarth to solitude in less then a skyrim day" then 4 slaughterfish annialated me. now i am finnally safe to swim!

No worries. I love playing Argonians as well, and obviously hate the fish. So, of course I had to remove them.

Jean, actually it does make sense to not be able to use your weapons underwater, just imagine trying to swim whilst swiping at something the size of your head, you'd need a lot of experience in swimming in order to have proper control over the direction your swiming in whilst attacking, if you people want to deal with them, just get a mod to enlarge them, that's what I did.

These just prevent me from fast travelling, I have to run away from the water just to get out of sight. You can't fight underwater so any underwater monster is stupid. I'd really like to be able to fight underwater, hunt for treasures etc. right now this is an aspect of the game which wasn't developped so this mod just makes sense.

As long as players are unable to use weapons or magic underwater, the slaughterfish are no more than a nuisance. In Oblivion they could be killed for their products. In Skyrim, only an arrow will do. You are right. Lose the fish.

Armdude, I can make a mod that turns them into passive enemies. Wolfscarab, I'll see about bears.

So this gets rid of them completely? Couldn't you just make them behave passively to the player and his followers?

Ever since I was attacked by a gang of those things at level 1 in morrowind with no armor and 1 wepon I have hated those them.

That big lake with the Lady (or Lord, I forget which) Stone? That's where I went to test the mod out and I didn't find any. I might add in something that just sets their health to 0 or drains it quickly, so if anything, you'll only find dead, floating slaughterfish.

I found two in the lake up from Whiterun. Not sure if the mod was working or not (Steam's been kinda screwy for me), but I thought I'd let you know regardless.

Irmc: I'm toying around with a different mod right now that gives Slaughterfish the ability to fly, use basic fire attacks, et cetera. They'd be like Cliff Racers, only more annoying.

I never minded the slaughterfish as much as the inability to attack them while underwater. I'm with Ciner on this: they're not cliffracers. I shudder to think what a modern approach to them would be like, trying to kill them as they swoop around like miniature, faster, more agile dragons without breath attacks.
